I voted for "sometimes" because I always wear my seat belt when sitting in the front, but when I'm sitting in the back I usually don't as much..

I wear it maybe 3 out of 7 days... so i voted "sometimes".. i forget alot.. But i always put it on if i have to jump on the turnpike.. Cops dont really care over here where im at..

Of course I do. I dont give a shit about fines, but I would like to live and not have to suffer through brain damage or something.

My buddy was in a serious accident a few years ago. He fell asleep driving home from a long trip in a four runner. He fell asleep at the wheel, flipped over a guard rail and crashed over the edge of a hill side 25 feet down. Though he ahd some rather serious back and neck injury, doctors said had he been wearing his seatbelt, he surely would have died. Completely crushed where the driver's seat was.

I dont like wearing it because my top all folds up and shyt.. but as soon as the car starts moving i put it on because that Kanye West song comes to mind:

" If you could feel how my face felt you would know how Mase felt
Thank God I ain't to cool for the safe belt "

It's sad that you only wear a seatbelt because a rapper tells you to.

Oh well, i'm going to go against the grain and say no.

Sorry people, I never wear my seatbelt unless the police are within a few feet of me and then I put it on so that they won't pull me over. As soon as they're gone, I take it off again.

Why? I just don't like them. They aren't comfortable.

remember them???

So the government allow you to smoke and tax you on it, yet they fine you for not wearing a seatbelt 'for your own safety.'
But anyway, I know it's the right thing to do to wear a seatbelt but I just got a bad habit, this thread has actually made me see my errors and i'm going to start wearing one from now on, i'm not an idiot who can't see my wrongs when I am actually wrong. Funny thing was though a friend of mine lent me a 6 series for a few days and I would always wear my belt in that because of that beeper that kept beeping, so it actually worked!

BTW, taxi drivers are exempt from wearing seat belts for their safety.

My car has (correction had) that damn beeper that just won't stop if you don't have your seatbelt on.... you can disconnect it very easily, just find the fuse box :thumb:

Damn thing doesn't work for ppl like me.

Nothing personal but that is seriously seriously fucking stupid.

Yeah well, everyone views things differently and I'm not offended at all. I'm also not going to all of a sudden change my mind and start wearing seatbelts all the time because some people on the message forum I post on thinks it's stupid.

It comes across as weird for me because you seem a happy person that is enjoying life to the fullest, yet you neglect something as simple as a seatbelt.

People always think it won't happen to them. Until that day where you fly through your windscreen.

For me personally, I find it supremely arrogant to think like that.

I just don't like them. They're uncomfortable. I've been in two car accidents and didn't have on a seatbelt in either and I survived. I don't think something as small as a seatbelt determines whether i'm going to live or not. I'm hoping that something much more powerful determines my fate in life. Seatbelt or not, if i'm meant to die, I will.

I don't think it's arrogant, I hope it doesn't sound that way. I didn't intend for it to. I was just answering honestly.

Here's a true story.

I knew someone who had a car crash. He was the driver and he wasn't wearing a seat belt. He also had one freind in the front but he did put his seat belt on. They lost control and hit a wall. The driver ended up in a coma and when he came out of it he had brain damage. The other guy who had his belt on only got cuts and bruises. Moral of the story, ALWAYS WEAR A SEAT BELT.
