Film & TV Da Vinci Code movie

Was that equilibrium? I'd prefer the opposite - the bridget jones style, putting on weight for a film. End of every scene she had to eat pizza and crap. Now that's what I call dedication to the role. :thumb:

Yeah, Angels and Demons.....he was a diver/swimmer or something. They have damn good bodies. Let's hope they dont do flashbacks about that....Tom Hanks in speedos....

Russell's a grizzly and Tom's a diaper....lol. You have a way with words. ;)

^^ Sorry to ruin the fun for you but he never actually jumps, try rereading the chapter.
My bad. I read so many books I'm confusing myself. One Da Vinci Book and then 600 pages of Angels & Demons one after the other - that's a lot for my dumb brain to handle.

He should jump.

Not to hate on my fellow Australians, but hell no! lol. Russell would have a hell of a lot of body work to do! Hugh just doesnt have allure - he's nothing special imo.

^Zero, I'm not denying Tom Hanks' success as an actor - but like I said, he doesn't have the "distinguished" or intelligent features Langdon is described as having. This role is as much as character representation as it is good acting. That's the thing about books turned into movies - you can't mess with the characters, their personality, looks, querks etc are already set. It was said in the book something like Langdon is like a "sex symbol in the academic world," and from a female's perspective, there ain't nothing sexy about Tom Hanks. ;)

You know who would have been good......Pierce Brosnan.....if he could do an American accent that is. He has the distinguished, intelligent, sex symbol factors happening.
Well admittedly I haven't read the book so really I'm in no position to comment, but you never know Tom might just shock you all and pull of another great performance ;)

You guys are crazy, this movie probably has one of the greatest casting ever. Just remember Tom Hanks is one of the greats that is in the same league as Crowe, Gibson, Cruise and Denzel, or even above them all. But one actor you forgot to mention is my personal favorite French actor Jean Reno. Damn this dude is one of the greatest ever. If you guys want good movies check out Ronin with De Niro and The Professionnal which was one of the movies that's engraved in my mind.

Peace

Agreed. Jean Reno is one of the best actors ever. The Professional ruled, so did Ronin. Les Rivieres Pourpre (The Crimsom Rivers) was also great.

Had some good comedies also. Tais-Toi was hella funny.
