This is one of my favourite films ever. Its great. Deep the way it touches on all the racial issues in the world. Its clever because of the way it has 12+ different storylines constantly bumping into each other and ending in one big explosion. Some bits are even funny. Mostly when Ludacris and Larenz Tate are together.

but did it really touch on racial issues in the world today? or did it touch on racial issues in this country 15-20 years ago?

Well its only got worse.
how do you figure? are you saying that about your country or the u.s.? i dont think it has gotten worse. i think it has gotten better, and the few things keeping rasicm alive are the ones who profit off of it. the form of rasicm i see most in this country is race on race rasicm. as for the type of rasicm that is depicted in the movie, i dont see it and have not seen it hardly at all

I think it was a decent movie, but nothing spectacular like the review i heard about it before I saw it.. It started off really good.. After the 1st hour i was like "Oh, shit this movie is the best i seen in like 2 years".. but then after that it kinda went downhill for me.. I thought it was pretty cheesy how that lady who hates blacks and immigrants totally changes her view 360 just cuz her mexican housekeeper was their when she fell down the stairs and her husband was working.. and also i didnt understand why a girl would be laughing, happy, and jump into her dads arms when i complete stranger has a gun pointed at him about 5 feet away..

lol, not to mention that the guy with the gun fired a shot and the bullet just went away. they tried to make this a film about reality but at the end it turns into the biggest fairy tale ever told, the bullet that never killed.

^^ The reason for the bullet *disapearing* is because when the daughter bought the bullets and was in a rush she pointed to a box of blanks, you'll see the shop owner asking "are you sure?" and she got them without realising what they were.

I thought it was a good movie, made me think. I dont live in America, never been to LA but on the whole it was a good story and well written with all the seperate stories.

Nah she ot the blanks on purpose. Cuz she was against it at the start and when she disposes of it all near the end she gives em a look to say "Thank God I bought blanks".

i don't think you mean its original but the combining of storylines into one 'cross road' has been done before like amores perros.........

and it doesn't touch racial issues just 'attacks' the issue as we are racist by moment not justification, by what is going on @ the moment, racist/bias today reality check tommorrow.................................shite, mierda, shit, merde in any language GARBAGE

She did not buy blanks on purpose. When the guy asks her if she was sure that's what she wanted, she took them thinking she knew what she was doing but in fact didn't. She pointed to a random box and basically said "I want those." That look you are descibing was more like "Thank God they were blanks."

I love this movie. When he ties the invisible cloke around her neck to protect her -tear-

I don't get to watch many movies but was wondering what are some good movies you've seen recently.
