How come in the song God Bless the Dead, they have edited out FUCK THE POLICE (thank god I have the ist press) and on Loyal to the Game album in the first track Pacs says MOTHERFUCK THE POLICE -they have kept this in. Whats the difference?

Why the fuck do they feel the need to edit some songs but not the others.

It's like that weak ass Johnny J. I have lost so much repect for this guy since Pac died. If you go through every song he has produced since Pac died, you will find he has edited every fucking song in some way. Johnny J is behind most of the editing in UTEOT yet most fans blame Afeni. If Pac said DEATHROW, thats what he said DEATHROW. Take for example the song CHANGED MAN. Deathrow is mentioned quite a few times and is not edited. Why? Because Johnny J did not produce the track!

What yalls thoughts on editing?

Editing is good for clean versions of CDs, and that's only for obscenities. If you edit anything else it's censorship, and censorship is wrong on all levels. There are extreme cases where it's alright, but with shit like "Deathrow" and "Fuck the Police" that's stupid...plain and simple. If Pac doesn't make a reference to Jews and the Holocaust (like Method Man did in Got My Mind Made Up), then these tracks should be heard complete and unedited.

Yeah, I agree with that - but most people ride on Johnny J - and when you think about - these same people have a go at the estate in the way they handle the music.
From what I have heard, Afeni chooses the producer then she lets him have the track to remix. They get back to her with the finished track and she accepts it.

Johnny “J” – They are complete. They just need the finial touches ya know. Some over dubs, and things like that. So pretty much they are man. I just need to put my twist on it, which is called the Johnny “J” Finally: The Touch Up. Just put the Johnny “J” touch on it and call it and mix it and it’s a done deal.

i think even editing that is stupid. i realize a jew might be offended by it but nevertheless. words are noises we make to explain an event. it's not like lions can only do certain roars is it? we're animals like lions, we just have a more advanced mentality, and a more advanced way of communicating. saying anything else is self-flatter. emotions, as we call them, are chemical processes in your body. this is what we refer to as instinct when talking about animals. when you say a certain word you express your feelings which are instincts. i hate the fact that some people think one word is bad and another is not.
