Competition football (non-EPL) 2011/2012

Pirlo denied it but he i'm not sure if he can still do it, he's had a lot of injuries.

Yeah AC Milan apparently signed them. All they need now is a creative midfielder and a bit more pace in their midfield

Macheda really is average. I don't see him having a future at Man Utd - Would like to be proved wrong, plus I guess we owe him a bit still :p

It's still early days for him though. I haven't seen a lot of him, but if Hansen thinks Walcott doesn't have a footballing brain then it seems Macheda really doesn't. He doesn't have intelligent movement.

I think he has a big head. Probably more so because he is Italian. They are a country with an old mentality where the boys are worshipped within the family.

Anyone read this stuff about Mourinho and FC Porto apparantly bribing referees to win games? A referee is supposed to have confessed or something.

I hear of it, wouldn't be surprised if it was true though. It happens a lot more often than people think. Not only in Eastern Europe and the smaller leagues, but in the big leagues as well.

I hope we meet these apes in the Europa league lol.

That's what I was thinking. Even without the "bumping into one another" trick there was a huge gap in the defense. A normal pass would have sufficed. lol

Oh, and it's probably a college match from somewhere in the USA

Lille have won the league in France. The problem is, most of their players will be sold in the summer, same for Dortmund and Porto. Disappointing as I'd love to see the teams as they are in the CL.

Deportivo have been relegated :( 10 years ago they were Super Depor, there are rumours that they could go bust as they have heavy debt.

So far, the only player leaving Dortmund is Sahin and there arent any serious rumours about somebody else leaving.

I hope that's true. Though apparently Gotze is being linked to Arsenal.

Hargreaves has been released by Man Utd. 4 years 25 games in the league. Still won the league and a champions league.

The champions league will be interesting next season. Porto, Dortmund, Napoli and Udinese should all improve it and play good attacking football. Hopefully they can keep the majority of their players.

^ I saw bits of that. The lack of fans was disappointing. I take it the 4 nations cup isn't really regarded as important?

no there was hardly no one there. Very little Northern Ireland fans came down for it. They put the games on at a bad time but there might be a bigger crowd at the Scotland v ROI game.

Ireland win the 4 nations.

The tournament has been pretty poorly planned though. Rubbish attendances, the games haven't been great, a few players aren't involved due to the playoffs.
