Competition football (non-EPL) 2011/2012

To dink 3 balls in a row into the box is some skill for an 18 month old. But it doesn't mean anything, really.



Just like it didn't mean this 14 year old would make it as a pro.... ;)

 
Anyone remember that kid Ajax signed years ago? Sonny Pike.

He ended up not being good enough for non league football.
 
He is yeah. They hyped him up to be our future number 10. He had a mental breakdown at Ajax, was released, tried to get back into football with non league teams in England and Scotland and wasn't good enough. Bit of a sad story.
 
Freddy Adu is a good example too

or Nii Lamptey, although in his case it was just continous bad luck. sad story.

didnt Ajax have a system back in the 90s where they were monitoring toddlers and seeing how they reacted when a ball was put in front of them. i remember reading that. probably a load of shite though.

Yeah Freddy Adu is a curious case though, at all the under 21 tournaments he is awesome and outshines Pato/Aguero, but now after failing in 3 European countries he's in the second division in Turkey. I don't get it. Even if he is older than he actually his, it still doesn't explain why he excels in the age group tournaments as his physique isn't that big.

Also Jose dropped C.Ronaldo for the weekend 'cause C.Ronaldo complained about the tactics. Jose should realise you rarely ever go against C.Ronaldo. Anyone remember when Jose called him uneducated cause he came from a poor family?

Real Madrid lose at home to Zaragoza. Pretty much wrapped up the title for Barcelona.

Dortmund have won the Bundesliga, fantastic, I hope they keep their squad together for next season, especially in the Champions League where they will be 4th seeds.

he actually went up a little in my estimation after making those comments. he was spot on apart from the part about Messi which was a bit sore loserish.

cant wait to see Mourinho sacked at the end of the season. i think he will be too. Real Madrid should have kept faith with Pellegrini. i felt he was the perfect coach for them.
