no, the track was made when he was in Strictly Dope with Ray Luv, and I think DJ Dizzy (or something) produced all their tracks

^Yeah you're right. Pac shouts out Dizzy on several of the tracks (The Lost Tapes c. '89). I know he does on Let Knowledge Drop, and some others...I liked his producing for most of the tracks. esp. Minnie The Moocher, Let Knowledge Drop & My Burnin' Heart.

Was Static recorded in the same era as the rest of 'The Lost Tapes' tracks? Pacs voice sounds more mature or it could just be the production

I think it's either from '89 or '90...the track could still be a ways away from others on the album (recording time), so that would explain why his voice sounds more mature. pz

I love Pac like you love Pac, but let's not kid ourselves, he sucked at that point. The whole Static/Lost Tapes collection is just for collecting purposes, not for bumping in your car on the way to work or playing in your MP3 player to get pumped up while working out.

QDIII = Quincy Delight the 3rd. Hes definitely Quincy jones son. He stated in an interview that he made the music for The Fresh Prince's opening credits. Quincy JonesII the father was a producer for the show.

OK just looked it up on google he is quincy's son, but to stick with the topic, neither Quincy Jones or QDIII produced this song or any other song from this period. First of all, Quincy doesn't produce rap music, QDIII does, and I don't think he was producing back then

Static is alright. I think I listened to "My Burnin' Heart" the most, since it ended up becoming "What I'll Do 4 Love"
