Technology can I resize my browser?

ok, i just got my laptop back from the tech guys who kindly replaced my faulty touchpad.

two things are different with my laptop apart from the new, working, component. One is I now have a second user account on here which i can't seem to delete, and the other is my browser is too big for the screen, so that when i click maximize i cant see the bottom cm of the screen as it gets lost in the bar along the bottom, whatever that is called. i will keep trying but in the meantime i am looking for ways to change my laptop back to how i had it

Im not sure that has caused this browser problem. my advise is to change the screen resolution, open the browser and hit full screen, then change the resolution back.
