According to Daily News, a collection of recordings from rappers Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg that were recorded while under Death Row Records will be up for auction on Thursday (January 15).

The catalog, totaling “thousands” of newly discovered tracks – was surrendered by Marion “Suge” Knight in 2006 after he declared bankruptcy and put for sale to the public by a court order.

Past threats posed by Knight and his attempt to obtain the master recordings in his possession have made potential buyers shaky in not only purchasing the catalog, but also with crossing Knight.

“It could be a tough sale. Some people don’t want to go near the catalog because they think Suge still believes it’s his,” an inside source told Daily News.

Two year ago, Lydia Harris – who claims to be a helping founder of Death Row Records – claimed she received threats from Knight after she was awarded $107 million by a judge in a default settlement case against the notorious record label.

It was later reported that Marion Knight had allegedly threatened her, saying “You [Lydia Harris] dead, bitch.”

Despite the incident, Knight was not charged.

Why doesn't Afeni just buy the Tupac tracks, and Snoop buy back his music, and they sell off the music that way? This way the right people will own these masters, and they could put these songs out how ever they wish.

I'm sure there are some nice ass songs by Snoop from the DPG Chronic era! Same for whatever is left of pac im sure there is some dope shit in there.

Afeni could use the material for future pac cd releases...
