Biggie disses towards Pac (long post)

#1
We all know that Pac dissed Big and Badboy too many times to count. Of the worst of them all was HIT EM UP, Pac disses Biggie publicly (House of Blues concert, the radio, videos, magazines, etc. And during this whole beef, Big chose to be quiet and not respond publicly for whatever reason.

Big being the rapper he was RAW and EXPLICIT, he could have easily ripped any rapper to shreds, but why not attack Pac. Well maybe he died. When his last album dropped, many people listened for Pac’s name. But Big never mentioned him. However, he did have numerous subliminal disses about Pac. “What’s Beef” and “Long Kiss Goodnight” are probably the most notable. I’ll breakdown each song that references Pac. ENJOY.

1. Kick in the Door: This song was mainly a diss towards Nas, but he also speaks in general about his enemies.

BIG
If theres beef between us
We can settle it
With that chrome-metal shit

BIG
Kick in the door wavin the four-four
All you heard was poppa don't hit no more

BIG
This goes out to those that choose to use
Disrespectful view on the King of NY
Fuck that, why try, throw bleach in ya eye

2. Last Days (ft. The Lox): Big says:

BIG
Who the fuck wanna squeeze?
My Desert Ease make MC's freeze
You wakin up in cold sweats, they just dreams
You still apoligizin, analyzin, my size and your size and
realizin, a fist fight would be asinine
You just pop wines I must pop nines
Genuine steel piece, nozzle in your grill piece
You're shook up, two bricks, every cook up
We can hook up, all I see is the future
Disrespect, I shoot ya

---Big just rages out at his unnamed enemy, but he could be talking to Pac when he talks about fist fighting someone. And how stupid it would be because of how big he is over his opponent. I know Pac talked about fist fighting Big or what not. That shit would be silly, Big is so much bigger then Pac.

BIG
Fuck around and get an ul-cer, loose your pulse or
collapsed lung, look how many gats I brung
For them homos, still doin promos
Break both your legs you're movin slow-mo, got shined to glow mo'

---The latter part of the verse directly speaks on a “collapsed lung”. We all know that Pac’s right lung was badly damaged and surgically removed after he was shot in Vegas. Pac also did a lot of promo videos while on Deathrow. He had several skits dissing Big and Badboy (Intro to Amerika’s Most Wanted video, Intro to Made Niggaz video, Hit Em Up).

3. I Love the Dough: (ft. Jay-Z): Jay-Z says:

Jay-Z
I'm in the fifteen hundred seats, watchin Ty-son
Same night, same fight
But one of us cats ain't playin right, I let you tell it

---Here Jay-Z makes a reference to what happened in Vegas in 96 at the Tyson fight Pac and Suge attended right Pac got shot. We all the story, what happened after the fight. But do you know who Jay-Z is referring to in his last line. Who ain’t playin right???

4. What’s Beef: Big really get things off his chest here, he says:

BIG
1st VERSE
This instant, rappers too persistant
Quick to spit Biggie name on shit, make my name taste
like ass when you speak it, see me in the street
your jewelry you can keep it, that be our little secret
See me, B that is, I that is, G whiz
Motherfuckers still in my biz
Don't they know my nigga Gutter fuckin kidnip kids? (uhh)
Fuck em in the ass, throw em over the bridge (oooh)
That's how it is, my shit is laid out (what)
Fuck that beef shit, that shit is played out (played out)
Y'all got the gall, all I make is one phone call
All y'all dissapear by tomorrow
All your guns is borrowed, I don't feel sorrow
Actually, your man passed the gat to me, now check this

---Big talks about Pac being too persistent with dissing him, he’s mentioning his name too much. Which Pac did, but we didn’t hear most of songs because they were released after he died. Big then addresses the shooting in 94. He says Pac can keep his jewelry (Pac was robbed of $40,000 of jewelry). I’m not exactly sure what Big was referring to when he said in the last two lines. But it could be about the “gun situation” which Pac discussed in a radio interview. The story is, Big and his boys had all these illegal guns in Pac’s room and when the cops had rushed the place, everybody left and Pac was charged with having all these guns on his property. Pac said he took that case although he a lot of other legal cases besides this one, he chose to do this instead of ratting everyone out. Or it could be about something else.

HOOK
What's beef? Beef is when you need two gats to go to sleep
Beef is when your moms ain't safe up in the streets
Beef is when I see you
Guaranteed to be an ICU, one more time
What's beef? Beef is when you make your enemies start your Jeep
Beef is when you roll no less than thirty deep
Beef is when I see you
Guaranteed to be an ICU, check it

BIG
2ND VERSE
Pardon my French but ahh, sometimes I get kinda
peeved at these, weak MC's (don't stop) with the
supreme baller like, lyrics I call em like I see em G
Y'all niggaz sound like me (yeah)
Y'all was grimy in the early nineties, far behind me
It ain't hard to find me number one with the booyaka (booyaka)
Gimme the Remi and the chronic ain't no tellin what I do to ya (I do to ya)
It's obvious the game's new to ya (new to ya)
Take them ends you make (ehehe)
and spend em on a tutor hah, one shot, I'm through with ya

---In the 2nd verse, Big talks about how bad Pac’s rap skills were early in his career. He mentions “Number One with a Bullet” a song Pac did with Money B. The wasn’t that good. Big also says it “Ain’t Hard to Find Me”, referring to Pac’s song on All Eyez on Me where Pac taunts his enemies about it ain’t hard to find me.

5. Niggaz Bleed: This could just be a general statement to all his enemies.

BIG
Niggas bleed just like us
Picture me bein scared of a nigga that breathe the same air as me
Niggas bleed just like us
Picture me bein shook
We can both pull burners, make the muthafuckin beef cook
Niggas bleed just like us
Picture a nigga hidin
My life in that man hands, while he jus decidin
Niggas bleed just like us
I'd rather go toe to toe with alla y'all
Runnin ain't in my protocol

6. My Downfall: Puffy starts all talking about (you know who).

BIG
Jealousy's a motherfucker, you weak jealous motherfuckers!
If you a jealous motherfucker, you just a weak motherfucker!
See when you on top, motherfuckers just wanna bring you down!
Motherfuckers don't even know you, and they don't like you...

HOOK
That's not all, MC's have the gall
To pray and pray for my downfall
Pray and pray for my downfall
Pray and pray for my downfal
And again Puffy goes off in a rage:

BIG
Y'all motherfuckers live off of negativity
What y'all niggaz need to get through your motherfuckin heads
Is that, y'all fuckin with some niggaz that's on a higher
motherfuckin level -- we don't give a fuck
About what you think about less how you feel about us
What you got to say about us
We gon keep doin our motherfuckin thing
From now till the year three thousand bitches!
You can't breathe, you can't sleep, you can't eat
without thinkin about us!
Without thinkin about us to the end!
We gonna kill you heartless motherfuckers!

---Overall, this track is quite sad. Especially, the hook, Big definitely feels that his death is near. He doesn’t say much about his enemies, but Puffy sure has a lot to say.

7. Long Kiss Goodnight: This track may be the most shocking. It was recorded after Pac’s death. Big mentions being the car accident when Lil Cease was driving which broke his leg and he mentions the new year (1997). But why would he diss Pac after he died??? Who knows??? Check out what Big has too say.

[Puff] See, I told y'all muh'fuckers
[Big] Yo yo.. that stupid nigga man
[Puff] I told y'all to stop!
[Big] He fucked up, yo..
[Puff] I pray for you to stop
[Big] Yo, yo yo yo, yo.. yo.. yo..
Yo, yo yo yo, yo..
[Puff] But no, you didn't stop
[Big] Yo.. yo..
[Puff] And now, we won't stop

HOOK- DMC
TIME TIME FOR YOU TA DIE
AS I KISS YO ASS GOODNIGHT
BIG
I make yo mouthpiece obese like delawese
When I release you loose teeth like Little Cease
Nigga please
Nigga please
Blood floods yo dungarees
And that's just a half of my warpath
Laugh now cry later I rhyme greater
than the average playa hater and spectators

---Big just made a reference to Pac, when he was shot in 94, in his groin area. Then he says he rhymes better then the average playa hater (referring to Pac) and he mentions “Laugh Now, Cry Later” which is on Pac’s back. Well, it’s actually “Smile Now, Cry Later” tattooed on Pac’s back. But whatever.

{Puff Daddy - speaking over chorus}
All we have to do now.. is say a prayer for you.. y'know?
That's all we have to do, just to pray for your mind.. cause..
Eheh, see your mind got control of your heart..
when it's supposed to be the other way around
Your heart's supposed to got control of your mind..
So now, I have no feelings for you
You have made me cold..

BIG
Now da years new
I lay my game flat
I want my spot back, take two
Muthafuckas mad cuz I blew, niggas envious
Too many niggas on my dick, shit's strenuous
When my men bust, you just move wit such stamina
Slugs missed ya
I ain't mad at'chya (we ain't mad at'cha)

BIG
Slugs hit'chya chest tap the spine
Flat-line
Heard through the grapevine, ya got fucked foe times
Damn that three ta nine, fucked you up for real doe'

Puff Daddy - speaking over chorus}
See the fucked up thing is that I love you..
yaknahmsayin?
It's just in my nature to love you..
I can't hate you.. cause it's not in my nature to hate you..
You know, I don't know..
Maybe.. I'm a different type of individual..
But.. you have me on the line..
and there's a thin line between love and hate
And God forbid I cross that line..
Cause y'all not gonna give a fuck
I'm tellin you right, MOTHERFUCKIN, NOW!!
THE SHIT, Y'ALL DONE STARTED, IS NEVER GONNA STOP!!!
WE ARE NEVER GONNA STOP!!!
And we not talkin bout.. no other rappers..
We talkin bout YOU motherfucker
YOU KNOW, who I'm talkin to..
We comin for you..
We comin for you.. ehehehehheh
The shit's gon' feel so good..
I'm gon' make you love me baby

---DAMN, Puffy had a lot to get off his chest. Big wants his spot back as the top rapper in the game. Big also makes a reference to Pac’s song “I Ain’t Mad at Cha”. He says he aint mad at Pac, but how could he, Pac was dead. Overall, Big is addressing his enemies, but this is after the fact. Still Puffy has a whole lot to say.

8. You’re Nobody Till Somebody Kills You (ft. Faith): What Big says in this song is another hard blow, man this shit was ruthless. I hope he didn’t record this after Pac died, but it sounds like it.

BIG
As I leave my competition, respirator style
Climb the ladder to success escalator style
Hold y'all breath, I told y'all -- death
controls y'all, Big don't fold y'all, uhh
I spit phrases that'll thrill you
You're nobody til somebody kills you

BIG
Reminesce on dead friends too
You're nobody til somebody kills you

---Sounds like he just said he leaves his opposition “near death” respirator style. We all know that Pac was on a respirator before he died. Again, I hope he was referring to someone else. Overall, this song is about exactly what the title states, “you’re nobody til nobody kills you. Big said this was his favorite song on the album. Deep shit.

Songs not on Life After Death:

9. Who Shot You: Big and Puff claimed this was recorded before Pac was shot. Ok, if so why release it around the time Pac was shot? Also, in one of the versions you can hear Puffy saying “95, 95, 95”. Pac was shot in 94, so that claim is questionable.

10. Brooklyn’s Finest (ft. Jay-Z): This song features to of Brooklyn’s best, they are basically boasting about hot Brooklyn is. At the time of its release, there is a big feud between East and West. The shit right here is funny, Big sorta dissed himself and his wife (Faith) in this song along with Pac. Big says:

BIG
if Faith has twins she’ll probably have 2 Pacs (get it 2Pac)

---I remember when I first heard it, I was like, I gotta rewind this. Big was a funny dude. Jay-Z really didn’t diss Pac on this track, but being that he was part of the opposition, he had it coming.

---OVERALL, I hope yall enjoyed this. Some of these lyrics/references could be too hard to tell. Its, your personal call, whether or not they are talking about a SPECIFIC person or not (like Pac), but some others are clearly disses towards him. Matter of fact XXL Magazine did “The Making of Life After Death” maybe a year or two ago. Lil Kim, Lil Cease and a gang of other Bad Boy related people discussed they’re feelings during the feud. Many of them said that Big and them were planning to record a number of disses. Who knows how many were recorded, I know I heard an unreleased Lil Kim song dissing Pac. So who knows what would have happened if Pac wouldn’t have died. Hope you enjoyed the read, I know it was long.

Peace

kick in the door was directed at Nas, the vast majority of the "disses" above could of been directed at anyone or more probably no-one. Long Kiss Goodnight was to pac and who shot ya mighta been, the rest of the post is fantasy in my opinon.

You forgot Playa Hater and the explanation to My Downfall

My Downfall-Biggie said something about Bringing it in Army fatigues in that song. I forgot the line. I think 2pac had said that the guys who robbed him were wearing army fatigues. Diddy also said in that song "That Motherfuckers Don't Even Know You And Don't Like You"
Sounds like he was aiming that at Suge Knight.

Playa Hata-I think this song was to poke fun at Pac's robbery. Playaaa, Open The Door, Lay On The Floor, You fuck'n fool, You've been robbed.

BIG said alot of shit. "I tried to warn you but yours eyes fucked up."

Going Back To Cali-I only got beef with those that violate me, I shall annihilate thee.

it's pretty much a known fact Biggie wasnt as innocnet in the beef as people make him out to be...no matter what the rest of New York and Biggie fans say. You make a song called Going Back to Cali after the fact 2pac is dead???A double cd that hadn't been doen b4 Pac??Some shady shit right there....Never knew that Biggie dissed Nas though thats a new info for someone who isnt that big of a Biggie fan.Wow 2pac, Biggie, Jay-Z all had beef with Nas that pretty funny much like 2pac Nas and Jay-Z all having beef with Mobb Deep lol

What the fuck do you know? 2pac was like a midget compared to BIG.

Pac looked like a scrapper but come on 300 lbs of fat, he absorb the shit Pac wasn't no Tyson now come on. One hit and Pac would be downed but Pac is faster then biggie though and could land more mulitple hits....my this is too funny

I understand that not everybody is a Pac fan,but what you telling is just fucked up.
How can you say Hit em Up is whack.?
If Pac wouldn't have helped that fat Motherfucker,he never would have got a deal.
And then This lil' so called Bad Boy ,Bitch, that didn't wright his own rhymes, you think this motherfucker is real.
Big would win against Pac,haha a lil Bitch Slap would knock that fat motherfucker out.
Big was Pac's lil fat sidekick, that got fucked in the ass by Dr.Dre.

In Jay-Z's "Dead Presidents" video, at the end of it Jay, Biggie, AZ and some other rappers are playing cards or dice (can't remeber). Before biggie places his bet or rolls the dice he says "who shot ya" and everybody starts laughing. I don't know if Pac saw the video, but that could also be one of the reasons why he dissed Jay.

kick in the door was directed at Nas, the vast majority of the "disses" above could of been directed at anyone or more probably no-one. Long Kiss Goodnight was to pac and who shot ya mighta been, the rest of the post is fantasy in my opinon.

every diss is vague with the exception of long kiss goodnight.
always wondered what that vegas line in i love the dough referred to though. assume it was tyson/bruno fight in vegas

i think youre reading too much in to the vegas line, i think jayz was just saying hes watching the fight live and you're watching it at home. whos not playing right?

If you really listen to his verse, I think the point Jay-Z is making is he's acutally at the same Tyson fight you're at home watching on your TV, cause he's ballin and you're not, and between "you and I", "one of us" is making money illegally.
