For you super tech peeps, how does this rate amongst the other phones out currently? Also, how do you guys think the screen on the G2 will compare to that of the Galaxy S? I saw that phone in person and OMG... amazing.
So im finally thinking about upgrading to another phone. I have been using a weak ass Iphone 3G for the past year and i have never liked it and i have finally decided to get a new phone. I was thinking about getting the Xperia X10 since i can get it for $30 with an upgrade but what would you guys suggest? I really love the way the X10 handles but i would take suggestions on better phones.
Well, we've come to the conclusion that the screen isn't quite as good as the Galaxy S, technically speaking, but since we haven't actually seen a G2 in real life yet we can't be sure. I maintain that the difference in marginal.
I would rather get a G2, because it'll be rooted very quickly running the latest CyanogenMod and I require a physical keyboard. Fingers crossed I manage to get a free one at the HTC event later today, although I doubt I'll get one.
They are both great phones with a similar level of performance based on scores.
Thanks for the info Casey!! The information I found on the screen for the G2.. I honestly couldn't find a way to compare it to the information that's out on the Samsung Galaxy and it's possibly just because I didn't put enough effort into the research process lol. But thank you for the comparison.
then G2 is more for you.
I wouldn't get the X10 at this point. It's been around for nearly 6 months and was designed over a year ago. Technically the specs are brilliant but due to Sony being lazy fuckers the thing is still running Android 1.6, and is only supposed to be getting a 2.1 upgrade which doesn't make sense since 2.2 is out now and 3.0 is around the corner.
If I were you I would get the Samsung Captivate. It's easily the best Android device on AT&T.
