It's one of those 7-inch cheap tablets, like Kindle Fire. I wouldn't waste money getting one though, I'd rather pay a bit more for the proper thing and get the Transformer Prime or Ipad2. The Touchpad was a way better deal too.
Unless you need tablet only for reading books and basic web things, then you save a lot by getting a Kindle Fire or BB Playbook.
Judging by Dell's IdeaStorm they are preparing an Android tablet with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

That's what I use my TP for. I got all of next semester's slides from an upperclassman and put them on my TP. I have old tests as well as my textbooks in pdf format. I can now read on the go without having to whip out my laptop. Plus, since it's still a novelty to me, I may study more just to get to use the tablet. On my flight back, I also plan on sticking a few movies on there because the battery life on this thing is very good.
I only have one qualm and it upsets me a good bit; it's the fact that this thing has no exclusive quality apps. I realized this was the case when I bought it and I thought it wouldn't be much of an issue. Little did I know that this was once a very capable tablet and I ended up doing a lot more with it than I had expected. But when I try to bring it up to speed with all my other mobile devices, by adding apps that allow it to check scores, news, etc., I find that a lot of the apps don't exist or aren't free like their Android and iOS counterparts.
This is what drives me to want to install Android, but at the same time, I don't feel like dealing with bugs and lag that Android brings. webOS has never crashed on me, never lagged. The experience has been amazing. It just needs a handful of apps that give it the functionality that Android provides out of the box.

Looks like rooted devices can now get access to the Movies section within the Android Market.
You can rent them. I wouldn't do it. But it's nice to have that option if I am caught away in a hotel or an airport....
That's why I just leave two or three on my SD card on my phone at all times. It's an 8GB card, so it's not even that big to begin with, and I still have enough room for other stuff.
Has anyone tried the Google Currents app? There's actually a good bit of "real" magazines, like Scientific American, that you can read. It's pretty neat and I'm not sure for how long it's been out now. Just discovered it yesterday on my tablet.

I've never in my life watched a movie on any of my Smartphones. I barely watch them at home, because I always feel weird, like I'm accepting the fact that I'm about to waste almost 2 hours of my life. But I do watch movies from time to time and I just can't see myself watching a movie on a phone. There's always something better to do, and watching a movie on a phone is not even comfortable.

Well, I fly a good bit and I do have some downtime in between classes so I can get a TV show in. I am the same with movies. Unless it's absolutely engrossing, I can not watch a movie in one sitting. I have to space it out over two or three sessions. But I keep TV episodes on my phone and iPod Touch, and soon on my TP. I plan on watching what I put on them throughout a semester, or maybe more, so it's not like I'm with these devices all the time and any free moment is spent watching shows. Just on those long, traveling journeys or free periods during the day.
People get an ipad then watch TV on it. Because, you know, the Ipad rules. Watching TV on a 10 inch Ipad is superior to any large screen.

Those are simply sheeps. They aren't limited to Apple's fanbase. It's in music fanbases. Movie fanbases. People that just go with the flow. Whatever's popular at the time. The past decade, it's been Apple products, mostly mobile products. Macs only gained popularity with the past three or so years.

I honestly think the lack of HC being open-source was a foreshadowing of what's gonna end up happening to Android too. I think the reasoning for HC being closed was retarded, and I feel the "reason" for this happening will be just as stupid too. Sure, there can be public outcry against it, ASUS, or whoever is in charge of this, will unlock it, and all will be well again because the company listened to the consumer and all that shit, but for something that is open-source to begin with (Android), this shouldn't have even happened in the first place.
Sure the OS and bootloader are separate, but isn't there some faggoty alliance hardware manufacturers are part of is all about open-source?
Whats the big deal? Everything comes with s locked bootloader... That's what devs are for, remember when tge G2 came out and it was dupposed to be unlockable or whatever you want to say. HTC did listen to the consumer and will allow you to unlock while voiding your warranty which is fine. It's something I think every manufacturer should do. I guessing this problem will be solved relatively soon, hopefully its asus that does the right thing
Is anyone aware of an app that can block SMS from a specific number? The app needs to be hideable (not a real word) as well.
