Film & TV All Star Football Match in aid of the Tsunami played tonight

A charitable event between two teams made up from some of the worlds best football players screens tonight on ITV2 at 7:30pm.

The European XI are set to take on a World XI in an event in which all proceeds will go towards victims of the Asian disaster. There are a total of 50 players available for selection.

The European XI captained by Andriy Shevchenko includes:
Buffon
Beckham
Zidane
Gerrard
Henry
Deco
Ballack
Nedved
Gonzalez
Stam
Maldini + many more

The World XI captained by Ronaldinho includes:
Dida
Cafu
Heinze
Adriano
Drogba
Eto'o
Juninho
Kaka
Zanetti
Ronaldo + many more
Can't wait to watch this it should be an awesome match.

Pierluigi Collina be also be refereeing the match, he's one of the greatest refs there is.

World all stars used to always win, i remember when that jamacian player deon burton scored like 3 goals and they won 6-4

but yea watchin this match

^The full list of players hasn't been revealed yet, but I think Davids is injured anyway since he missed the Holland game??

This will be shit.

Props for the guys turning up for charity but, udnerstandably, they never play competitively nor aggressively.

Slow pace, slow passing & the best you can hope for are some tricks & set pieces.

Which Gonzalez is playing for Europe?

So I'm lookin up to see if Davids is injured, and I read an article he hasnt even been invited to join the orange for world cup qualifying, cuz he hasnt played for inter milan all season

Why is it that Chelsea and Man. United don't have any players in the teams? I heard Heinze was supposed to be playing, but couldn't?

Cant believe people actually get excited about matches like these :rolleyes:

no offence i mean i know its for a good cause but the matches are terrible as no-one tries at all
