Technology advice on mp3 player

haven't had mp3 player in years, the last mp3 player i had was those samsung yepp, but that was years ago..since then, haven't really needed mp3 player by my side, but now i want to get one. I haven't been interested in them very much, so need your ideas on getting one for me. What would u suggest that would be worth of its' price. i mean money is not that important factor which controls my choice, but still i'd like to get what deserves the price. of course i need the player to have a solid memory: flash memory, hdd type.. i dunno, what's better for portable player? of course i don't need no bulky one, size is also important. Ipod..hmm but their batteries are built-in and cannot be changed, right? what about screen to watch videos, it seems like cool feature at the beginning but do you really use it a lot after a while? what about other features?
please advise me. discuss.

get a zune you can get various capacities, the battery life is pretty good, also you can play a few video formats on it aswell, will even play HDWMV.

i'm not very familiar with one thing: ipod has itunes, zune has zune marketplace.. are those programs for buying mp3 songs online and then transferring it to player, or can i just transfer mp3 i got on my pc to the player without any restrictions, cause i have no intentions buying songs online where i can download it for free.
and also, the same brand but hdd or flash memory player. which would u suggest. is hdd player not too bulky? or maybe 4 or 8gb flash memory is more than enough, what do u suggest judging from your every day's usage.
