I remember reading that the new remixers are merely given acapellas, not the originals. If this is so, how do we get OG-vibe post-humouses (Fuckin With The Wrong Nigga, Who Do U Believe In, etc)? Does Amaru make a conscience decision to keep these OG?

some samples are easier to clear than others

and death row had already released Who do u believe in at that point in time so it wasnt like the track was new

Yeah I know that about the samples, but if the remixers are just given acapellas, how do they know the OG beat? Or is it, if they can clear the sample they sometimes go ahead and use the OG?

Common sense would say that if it sounds so much like the OG beat, it's probably the same thing, just with minor tweaks and revisions. And even if they're just given accapellas, it's not like they've never heard the OG beats to most of the songs. Even we have access to many of those songs, so it's not like we can get our hands on unreleased material that producers can't.
