I'll give a few thoughts about the PS3 games I've purchased so far.

Call of Duty 4
To this day, probably the best game out of the bunch. The one that I've played the most for sure. It's great, a very universal arcade-ish type of gameplay. It's a shooter with online action. It's awesome.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
I enjoyed this game. Visually, it's pretty sick that it's one of the first games that launched with the PS3. It looks way better than a lot of the later games. Storyline is, I guess interesting like any Indiana Jones movie. There's a treasure, there's a few plot twists, it takes you to places you didn't expect, and it goes out with a bang. There's a cheesy romance, corny Hollywood jokes, it reminded me of the Mummy movies.

Skate
Sorta cool skating game. Tony Hawk's was a series I always liked, but I really only like the first one, so I'm waiting for that to get released on the Playstation Store. The thing that makes this game stand out is how you control it. You basically do moves with one of the controller sticks that simulate the leg movement when you do the actual tricks. Very cool. But the game gets boring quick. The only real replay value is playing horse against friends, and even that is pretty boring.

FIFA Street 3
Looks nothing like the previous two games. One thing I loved with the two first games was how the solo campaigns if you will were structured. In this third game, there doesn't seem to be much of a solo part. I actually had to spend a minute figuring out how to play solo the first time I popped it in. Anyway, graphically like I already mentioned it looks different from it's younger brothers and I really didn't like it. Everything is different. Phail. I won't play it much unless with friends.

FIFA 2008
This, on the other hand, I sorta like. Some things that annoy me, but overall I like it. Playing online is lots of fun, so along with CoD4 this game gets a lot of playing from me.

Condemned 2
On the back of the cover it said you could pick up anything from the surroundings and use as a weapon, and that sounded sorta neat. I envisioned a game where most of the things around were destroyable with lots of variation to the battle action. Instead, there's like five or six different things you pick up (a plank, a pipe, a wrench, some electric wiring, a few more things). The only semi-cool thing about it is every now and again you have to investigate a crime scene, which can be fun. For like a minute. The game has a Resident Evil-esque creepiness to it, but doesn't quite deliver on the same level. Another fail in my book, I haven't completed 20% of the solo campaign and don't feel like playing it much.

Medal of Honor: Airborne
Haven't tried it lol. I bought it because it was cheap. Anyone played it?

Need for Speed: ProStreet
The way you navigate through the career mode is very confusing. This new concept with racing days is sort of interesting, but makes everything seem so complex. There's too many menus to click through. I liked the free-roam approach from the past few games. Also, the fact that you need to have different types of cars with different types of set-ups made this feel a little bit too much like Gran Turismo. It's not quite Need for Speed. When you're actually racing it's fine though. I guess I'll play it a bit, but it wasn't that awesome.

Grand Theft Auto 4
Out of all the games so far, this is the only one that I don't like because of rapid action gameplay. Except for Uncharted, this game has a cool story, and is a different type of game. More like a role playing game. I can't wait for a Final Fantasy or something to the PS3. A good role playing game with many hours of gameplay. I haven't played it very much, and it's not that much difference from previous games. Honestly, I hope they do a Vice City or San Andreas style chapter with the GTA4 engine, and some improvements.

Army of Two
I guess this is sorta fun when playing with a friend, but everything in this game feels so slow. It gets old fast. The graphics aren't particularly nice at all. If anything, the options to buy new weapons and gear and upgrade these with many customizations is cool.

Viking: Battle for Asgard
The way the game unfolds is very linear. You get a map where you can mark different objectives and such, but every now and again (every fifth to tenth objective maybe) it gets to the point where there are only a few select "quests" you can finish before new ones appear. It sounds very roleplay-ish, but to me it's not that at all. There is nothing you can do to affect the course of development in the plot or the character's development. You can purchase new moves, but again, it's all structured in a very linear way where you get just enough cash to buy a few new moves for every "big" event in the game. I guess it's fun, it's a hack and slash game, but God of War is way better for example. I'm waiting for the third one.

Some games I downloaded from the Store:

PAIN
This game is really awesome. You select from a few different characters and launch them from a human size slingshot. You are launched into a city block where you are to do as much damage as possible. There are different game modes, and there is currently only one level, but more content will be released frequently in the near future. I suggest everyone get it as it's not very expensive. There is a multiplayer mode where you can compete against you friends in a bowling mini-game, you just have to try it to understand it, it's hella fun. Like Buzz at a party.

Dark Mist
Newly released in Europe. I dunno why I bought this, like I said earlier I'm waiting for a good RPG, and I had read that this was similar to Zelda. I was disappointed. You have to shake the controller to use the sword which gets annoying after a while, I didn't buy a Wii.

PixelJunk Racers
Sorta fun. Lol. Okay, it's not all that, but I still think it was worth the download.

PixelJunk Monsters
A tower defense game. It's not as good as say the one that comes with Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne, but it's still sort of addictive. There's an add-on pack out called Monsters: Encore, with brand new levels, as many as in the original release. Great two-player mode in this game as well.

Warhawk
I guess this game is okay when I want to kill some time. The mechanics of this game sort of suck, it's like a really old game, but like I said, it kills time.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online
It's Tekken, it's a must-have. I'll buy 6 when it's released and delete this one though.

Lemmings
Revisited with improved graphics, this game is another one that never gets old. It's not like I play it a lot though, but some times...

Some PSOne classics that I revisted and had some fun with were C&C (not Red Alert), Theme Hospital, and Crash Bandicot. I got the second and third games from the US or Japan stores, and I also got the Crash Bandicot Kart whatever it's called. Oh, and Rayman really really sucks ass. But Reel Fishing doesn't ehehehehe.

Last thoughts:
So far, I've been a little disappointed with the games. Which is funny, because more time and effort go into making them than ever. I guess I just need to find a game that really makes me play whenever possible to fully make the transition or whatever, but I'm not impressed so far. I actually play the games I've downloaded from the store more than I play the games I've purchased. I'm gonna look into a few of the puzzle games like echochrome. And the one with the elephants. They look interesting lol. CoD4, FIFA 08 and GTA4 stand out amongst the crowd though.

The Orange Box
I finally got to play Half-Life 2. I loved the first one and played through it several times. I kept the Uplink demo because it had an exclusive level in it, that's how much I used to love the game. I also completed all the expansions several times. My computer sucks too much to run the sequel, and I read some bad reviews on the PS3 version of the Orange Box. It was supposed to have a lot of bugs, I haven't experienced any yet. The solo campaign so far rocks, and there's two extra episodes. After that I'll do Portal. Sweet.

i've been playing that area 51 game, can't remember the actual title. not bad, it's better than what i was expecting. good story line, fun, easy to play, and it's not cheesey.

so.. no one has played any of the other games? i doubt that. more specifically, i was looking to hear what other people thought about the games that don't get talked about so much as gta4, cod4, and all the likes.

All my thoughts about GTA4 is in the other thread

Assassins Creed missions were kinda cool at first, until I found out I would have to do em over 3 times. I give it a C. Lame ending, lame AI and plain boring once u think you'll get into it. I'm tradin it in when MGS4 releases

I agree with you on alot of titles, Uncharted i thought was great, really enjoyed it, while it lasted, when i got a HDTV it was the only game i had, and was visually blown away by it, same with COD4. amazing action, amazing visual...

some of the titles you bought though, i just always avoid, Street, NFS pro, MOH airbourne, Viking, to me they are the usual suspects, stinkers....i will try the demo's of them though and make an opinion based on what ive played...ive tested all above and i just generally wasnt interested....

i enjoyed skate, it did have a new take on skating, but...meh, was'nt THAT appealing, same with Assassins Creed, great action/graphics, but im about 70% through it and cant seem to go back to it...

GTA4 is controversial to me though, they took out alot of what i liked from the series, it is a good game, but not what i had hoped for, San andreas was more of a step forward in terms of what your capable of doing, and sometimes GTA4 feels like a step back...

at the minute though, this is what i own for ps3:

Assassins creed
Cod4
Def Jam Icon (not amazing)
Gran Turismo 5 prolouge (aight)
Gta 4
Stranglehold
Smackdown 08

could do with a better line up tbh...

I hated Army of Two, I really thought it was crap. It got old when I hit the second level. COD 4 was my game for 5-6 months, I've already 100% GTA 4, that's complete.

I also own a 360, so wtf am I doing in here?
