Thought I'd seen him do something similar before -

Why is 50 still caught up in this? How does Fat Joe continue to be employed with such limited sales... No matter how good his album is...?

I mean, Joe had Weezy, R.Kelly, Clipse and Jeezy on it too.


How many did he actually sell first week? Not less than 10K!??

He sold 12,7 something I think.

He sold 17K, but still really bad. What intrigues me is that Joey has been in NY for so long. I'd expect 50K from NY alone, you know? But it is what it is. There's also the issue of this being a gutter, hardcore album, hence the Darkside title. He doesn't really have any hits for the ladies.

Anyway, 50 Cent is caught up in it because he stopped being creative musically and is unable to make any hit records whatsoever. So, to remain relevant and in the "limelight", he has to resort to Youtube videos and really bad straight-to-DVD gangster flicks.

Wow. 17k is pretty sad. But it's not surprising, lack of promotion and single.
