i have not posted in a while. I'll get straight to the point.

Since i became a member on the old tupacboard many years ago, alot, and i mean alot has changed regarding the handling of 2pac's work and the state of his legacy.

I am not going to rant and rave about how diffferent it was years ago, i am however going to express my disgust regarding the handling of 2pacs work.

Too many, including myself, 2Pac is a man that we look upto, respect and have devotion for. I will never forget years ago how i collected all his work, read all the books, watched all the dvd's.

However, in 2005 - what a shit path we are now at. it sickens me how 2Pacs work is handled. To be honest, over the years it has gotten so progressively bad that i no longer have an interest in what new projects are being released. WHY? becasue they are not '2Pac'.

Ghetto Gospel - What a disgrace. its beyond words.
The Rose 2 - Are they serious?
Resurrection OST - Do you really think that tracklisting is an accurate illustration of 2Pacs life???

never mind the cosntant shitty bootlegs found in stores, being passed off as official releases by the unaware public....2Pac:Live, 2Pac - Phropeht Returns...etc etc.

We will never have another solid release. its over.

i will just stick to the releases before his death. That is the 2pac i want to remember.

im cutting this short because to be honest, it just plain sickens me when i think about it.

Note. This post was written in a frenzy of anger, I apologize in advance for any typo's :-)

I think from the day Pac died his music aint been handled right...the sad truth is the number 1 person to handle Pac's music is...Pac. and obviously since he aint here, since he died we have had like 20 different producers all trying to recapture the magic, all thinking they know how Pac's music should sound...and the truth is, they dont know, no one knows how to put together a 2Pac album, except, 2Pac.

I feel exactly the same. LTTG was so bad that i dont even consider it an official album, it more like some shitty aftermath records mixtape. I don't understand why Amaru have to 'update' Pac's music, he's a fuckin hip hop legend! The shit is gonna sell regardless! All they did was shit on the loyal fans.

Forget you, honestly. Lyrically, the music put out after he died is just as good, if not better, then what he had out while he was alive. Yeah, they've fucked up the production on some tracks but you've people have to chill. Don't expect All Eyez On Me everytime out, because that's never gonna happen again. He had a hand in every step of the making of his music, and it was honestly untouchable. Now, other people have their hands on it, and it's inherited a different sound. Y'all just need to become better listeners, that's all. I can listen to a track and hear just the beat, just the rapper, or both. It's like what Pac said "Don't just bob your head to the beat, peep game. Listen to what we're saying, and hold us accountable for it." I'm a Pac fan until they bury me, and I want to hear every single thing that he said on wax. It's like the story, but, since he died, there's some chapters missing. I want to finish the story. It sickens me to see his "fans" turning on him after a couple crappy remixes. Get some spines, and be loyal for once.

That's why I rock the OGs when they leak :D

A lot of your post was the truth. The funny thing is, Daz's Don't Go 2 Sleep bootleg was better produced and shit than most official Amaru releases. Basically they have the biggest idiots on earth controlling the music, if any of us were in charge of Pac's music (well maybe around 75% of us, some of you guys are idiots too) it would be done right. It doesn't take a genius to put out decent releases by arguably one of the best rappers ever.

people are not turning on 2pac, they are turning on the people handling his music

there is no good reason to accept the bullshit handling of 2pac music nowadays, just let the og's or at least get some decent production and original artists so people wont have reasons to complain, a lot of mistakes are made in the production and that is definitely a reason to complain

they could make many other classic albums like all eyez on me if it was well handled, and i agree about listening to the lyrics first, but dont u prefer lyrics on a beat like "changes" more than "loyal to the game g unit remix"? production is part of music, it creates the mood of the feelings you want your lyrics to fit with...i dont think u would like all eyez on me as much if the lyrics were dropped over mike jones beats

the only problem is the production, they shouldnt even touch it

by the way great post, for example rose vol 2 sounds pretty weak to me compared to vol 1, i agree it's gettin worst every time

hope is getting dark

nothing new. iv been reading this shit for along time, no ones happy with the production but does that mean we open #25565 thread about it and keep complaning

2Pac said himself, most of the songs he made were, and R just backbones for future use. I believe Pac knew if he died it would all be put out. He spent his whole life being vocally heard. He wanted 2 still have that impact after he died. And he did. Thats why he worked so hard. I, as a fan am not always fully satisfied with what i hear, but I am THANKFUL 4 it.

I Would Of Been Happy With LTTG If They Would Have Made It Like They Made RUSD Where It Was Mostly OG's With Some Good Remixes. Honestly RUSD Has Been The Best Release Since His Death Not Counting Makaveli Since He Actually Finished That Album Before He Died
