2pac have beef with De La Soul?

I came across this in another board and was wondering if this was true? I don't remember pac having any beef with De La Soul. If anybody know's more info about this...most appreciated.

de la are flower rap, and they made some comments about how gangsta styles are ignorant (q-tip did as well). pac just made a very short and mostly unheard diss in against all oddz. i don't think he took it too seriously. wscg did much more so.

yeah, but even still they kept doing saturdays type raps. hey, i still bump de la is dead and buhloone, and i think they balance out the more negative side of hip hop, and i think that's why pac didn't come harder on them.

That's clearly not the case, because Pac squashed his beef with Nas at the MTV Awards on September 4 and Nas is dissed repetitively on the album.
