some dude posted this on another forum

alright so i heard about something a couple weeks ago and today i just heard it from another source that is almost ALWAYS on point...

this 2pac album coming in Nov., "Pacs Life" is strickly a tribute album...

this explains a few things
-why johnny j isnt on there
-why they're mostly old verses remixed
-the title and date of release
-the "missing tracks"
-verses from TI and Bone being directed towards pac

when johnny j was asked about the upcoming 2pac album a couple months ago he said that he was producing on a 2pac album to be released in the next year that was all NEW UNHEARD MATERIAL

Pacs Life is far from that...when johnny j was asked about this a couple of weeks ago he said something to the effect of, im not on that album, im on the other 2pac album with unreleased material.

...meaning there is another 2pac album out there being mixed and mastered.

which leads to this new "rumor" coming around...

Amaru is set to release Pacs Life in Nov. to celebrate the 10 year anniv. of Pacs death...but is also getting ready to release a 2pac album of unheard unreleased 2pac material in the first quarter of next year!!

listening to the songs 'pacs life' and 'untouchable' you notice that the verses from TI and Krazie are more of a tribute to 2pac rather then verses WITH him.

this "next album" coming from Amaru is rumored to be the album that everyone wants...songs done by people pac dealt with during his time.

*edit*

i forgot to mention that the "next album" is rumored to be a double disc 25-30 track album

:woah:

dont know what to believe. i gotta admit this is what im feelin right now too, that it indeed is a tribute album.

I believe that this is the Tribute album we have heard about for the last few months. All thats missing is the phrase 'tribute album' from a Amaru spokesperson... which then leads to another 2pac album we know that must be already in the works. I hope so.

Think about this:

The two tracks that we have heard are both "remixes" in amaru's eyes. There are two tracks that are not remixes in amaru's eyes that 221, one is Soon Az I Get Home, which is enhanced OG, the other is Untouchable, which is enhanced OG. Thats two enhanced OG's on a 13 track album. Who knows, the other's can be enhanced OG's as well. Maybe amaru smartened up and listen to us..

If not, think about this, the next album, if it follows this pattern, may have more enhanced OGs.

Its a step up from LTTG: not a slight taste of OG beat or guests or tempo or vibe.

^ right .... now i agree there probably will be another tupac album coming (double probably) that Johnny J is talking about..

BUT this is no "tribute" album. this is an actual "2pac" release...

same as the others, but i do think the next Pac release will be great.

^^yea of course this is an "actual album" but at the same time it could be that tribute album peeps been talkinn bout.

Plastering Tribute Album all over the promotional stuff will not generate good sales. What are the conotations of a tribute album?? Unofficial, sub standard cheap shit, right? This is a 2pac album, but maybe the one we've heard reffered to as the tribute album, dya get me?

makes sense.... but it no way is this cd going to be called "Pac's Life: A Tribute to Tupac Shakur"

A good point, also, and maybe it has been brought up is that more than a year ago Afeni was calling this the "last 2pac album". And as we all know they havent mentioned that in over a year.

I would say we'll get Pacs life and then hopefully next year (not 1st quarter!) we'll get a classic double (or even more) cd that Johnny J and others have been working on...
