11/12 Premier League thread

yea Chris Kamara is great lol

DPG, what do you think of Stephen Fletcher now?

8 goals this season. not bad when you consider that he is playing in a very poor team. he is young as well. I remember you said before that you thought he was overrated. although i guess he was since they were linking Real Madrid with him lol. not a bad player though imo.

This manager for Burnley is a joke though. Coyle leaving them fucked them up but they could have made a better appointment than a shite manager who just got sacked by Sheffield Wednesday. Apparantly he has fallen out with a lot of the players and the players dont like him. The fans also hate him. They were doing ok under Coyle.

great move to take off Torres after 65 minutes and bring on N'Gog who missed 2 or 3 chances that Torres would have buried including a sitter right at the end.

Dont think Torres was injured either and looked pissed when he came off.

West Ham would have been better off leaving that fat cunt Mido where he was.

the fact that he is even paid a wage is ridiculous. that fat unprofessional shoe bomber lookalike prick. its a disgrace that a player like this is allowed play professional football.

^^ lmao he reminds of the shoe bomber too!

He's on something like £5000 a week btw. That's minimum wage in football lol

yea he does lol. its what the Newcastle fans used to chant at him when he was with Boro.

I think its actually 1000 a week which is far too much imo. I wouldnt pay him £1.

I mean, how hard is it? All a professional footballer is required to do is keep himself in shape and in excellent physical condition to play football. They get paid well to do it and this guy could hardly ever keep himself in shape. A lot of the time throughout his career he has been carrying excess weight. Thats inexcusable for a professional athlete.

Rafa took him off because he was tired.

there is no doubt that Liverpool would have won if he was on the pitch. N'Gog missed 3 chances that you would expect Torres to score.

yea. but thats Rafa for you. you'd wonder what goes on in his head at times.

did you see N'Gog's miss at the end? Torres puts those away in his sleep.

also, if you think back to the VIlla away match. Torres was average for most of the match. The Villa defence was playing very well but in the last minute Torres got his only real chance of the game and he buried it. To take him off like that was crazy. He also scores a lot of goals late in games as well.

Speculation is rife that Liverpool are considering making a move for highly rated Feyenoord winger Georginio Wijnaldum this summer. The teenage wide man has been a player the Anfield outfit has been monitoring for the best part of 18 months and recent comments from the youngster suggest that he has more than a passing interest in a move to Merseyside.

so whats he like Duke?

I watched the Birmingham match and I liked the awkward silence in the stadium when they announced that Torres was coming off...

Bobby, do you still want Rafa on the bench?

not anymore. i am fed up, but you have to look at the bigger picture as well. How can they sack him? with all the compensation they would have to pay out to not only Rafa but all his backroom staff. It would be huge. Then who will they appoint? can they afford to pay a top manager big wages on top of the compensation paid out to Rafa and his staff? i doubt it. Lets say that they can, then what top manager would work in the current mess of a situation at Liverpool? not many id imagine. Not many would come to a club where they have no money to spend on players.

im hoping that Benitez wil keep his promise and walk away at the end of the season as he said he would if we dont make the Champions League. If he digs his heels in and waits for the sack i will lose all respect for him. If we are not in a position to appoint a top class manager in his place then i think it would be best that he stays on.
