Reason I think he is, is that he tries the hollywood pass so damn much, I've seen him try some outrageous things and he loses the ball a lot, and can be quite sloppy. He is also fairly slow to react to situations especially when the opposition have the ball. Today against Fulham in the first half, he tried to pass through the eye of an needle about 3-4 times when an easier pass was on. Maybe he is believing into his hype.

His set pieces are his main threat, they are one of the best in the league but I don't think his overall game is that good. He will get found out when he joins a team that won't build their tactic around him. Managers rating him doesn't mean an awful lot really.

yea you have a point. i dont want Liverpool to sign him though. we need defenders and they should take Aquilani back. Doesnt look like Juventus want him. i cant see where Adam would play either in the current set up.

Rooney hit with a 2 match ban, what another complacent and inconsistent decision by the FA. Why not just forbid all expression of passion and desire? It's the inconsistency that annoys me. He gets away with banging a player on the head, but gets a 2 match ban for swearing.

If you break a players leg, but the ref gives you a yellow card, that's it. Handled. Stupid.

yea he should have been banned a few weeks ago. they knew they fucked that up so now they ban him for this.

but he is such a disgusting character. you had kids and everything watching that and he shouts fuck off into the camera. remember he also shouted something into the camera after he failed badly at the world cup.

i also got the impression that got himself deliberately booked in the England V Wales game. really looked like it to me.

As for the role model excuse. It gets on my nerves. I have taken my son to football games, and the only people he hears swearing are in the crowd. Maybe we should ban them. As I don't like to explain the racist, homophobic abuse that comes from there every single game.

he didnt just swear though did he. he pretty much told everyone to fuck off and at the World Cup he had a go at the supporters who spent alot of money to go over and watch him play so shite.

you have to laugh at Manchester United fans and those connected with that club saying they are being victimised. I suppose when you get away with this kind of thing for the past 20 years, its only natural to start to feel that way when you no longer do.

It is the inconsistency though. All teams do it. All managers do it.

Fergie is the most outspoken by far, I agree. But they should be allowed to voice their opinions.

Rooney was out of order swearing into the camera. But a 2 match ban is over the top...

I am glad Ashley Cole didn't get in trouble for the air gun. All blown out of proportion by the media.

I agree. ALL players run up the referee, shockingly even Liverpool players. Like the penalty incident against Sunderland for example.

Anyway, a 2 game ban is ridiculous. He swore into a camera, how many times do you see players call the Ref a prick or tell him to fuck off?
You see it every single game. Nothing is ever done about that.

Balotelli through darts at the youth team recently because he was bored, you would've thought Man City or
someone would of done something about it.

no team even comes close to man utd for that. I dont mean questioning a referee either. i mean all out abuse of officials. you menntioned liverpool do it? yes they did and do it but not to the extent Man Utd do it. Remind me who's manager insulted a referee over his weight and who, everytime his team lose a game, lets rip on whoever was refereeing the game. what match was it recently when Fletcher actually caught hold of the referee? or those incidents where half the team were cornering the referee and shouting into his face.

the reason Rooney was banned now was because of that incident where he hit James McCarthy. THe FA knew they fucked up and now he has given them a reason to put it right.

Anyway, Nani should have been nominated for player of the year. Two of the 6 players nominated could be relegated by the end of the
season. Hardly makes sense.

Nani - 9 goals/16 assists
Nasri - 9 goals/1 assist
Bale - 7 goals/1 assist

If it was Gerrard who'd done it and got slapped with a 2 game ban, how would you honestly feel? Don't tell me you'd think justice was served fairly.

Yet here is a guy that has a record of getting away with stuff like this and keeps at it until finally they take action, and yet everyone else is to blame except him.

The majority of the United fans I know, me included, know the blame lies with Rooney and he deserved to be punished. A 2 game ban is excessive though.

As for the PFA Player of the Year list, it's a bit suspect. Nani should be one of the POTY nominees aswell as YPOTY along with Hernandez. Charlie Adams? Parker? Lol. Kompany should in the mix imo.

yes it is. but as i said the reason they have taken such action now is because he has got away with so much and they know they fucked up on the James McCarthy incident.

Parker looks good in an awful side.

But it is shocking that Hernandez isn't nominated, you could argue the leagues top scorer Berbatov isn't nominated either, but he has been a bit inconsistent, most of his goals come at home but they all count.

Kompany deserves a mention. If Adam or Parker win it and their team goes down, isn't that a bit of a mockery?

I hope Bale doesn't win it. The hype around him is shocking, he's also missed large parts of the season.

Also if Nani wins YPOTY he will be what, 24? Lol. Why not just have it for 21 and under?
