11/12 Premier League thread

Yeah I hope these players don't get hyped up and then just stagnate. Walcott seems to have stagnated, in todays game he's up against a fullback playing only his second game and Walcott didn't get past him once, didn't put in a decent cross.

Ravel is in a gang, he's a twat but he is very gifted he's just too thick to realise the position he is in. I think he escaped jail time recently after intimidating witnesses with a gun. It's the case of holding on to him so he actually does something with his life, or to let him go and see him end up dead or in jail.

^^that Robinson lad is really highly rated though and he is quick too. so if you can match Walcott for pace, you pretty much have him dealt with.

Spearing had an excellent game again today. alot of people were saying he is not good enough and would never make it with Liverpool. i really hope he does. Lucas was outstanding too though. Almost every game he plays against top opposition he seems to play really well. He is a very good player now for Liverpool. His tackling is really good.

would this Ravel guy have been playing against Liverpool the other day in the youths game?

Spearing played well, only game I've seen him play well actually. Maybe Sunderland also.

I'm not sure if Ravel played that game, we apparently played a team that was a lot younger than usual as we have a Youth Cup Semi Final around the corner..

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/feb/19/ravel-morrison-manchester-united Here is more about him. I have seen him play a couple of
times and he is outstanding, still a little greedy, he tends to take the mickey out of players but he can go on to be awesome.

About the PFA. I have no problems with Wilshere winning young player of the year. As he is genuinely a young talent, whereas Nani nominated for that one is a joke as he will be 25 next birthday.

Bale winning it shows that their was a lack of superstar talent this year. Looking at the nominees.

Parker & Adam have had good seasons, but both teams might go down, would be a bit pathetic if the best player in the self acclaimed best league in the world was relegated.

Nasri went off the boil
Tevez and Vidic have been consistent throughout the season. Tevez actually has been involved in like 60% of Man City's goals.

Kuyt's goal was the latest goal ever scored in a premier league match apparantly

Van Persie's was the second latest.

im not 100% sure on that but i think its correct.

what were the odds on that lol and what were they odds on 2 dutch player scoring two of the latest goals in premier league history from the spot.

btw Liverpoo'ls u18s beat Man utd's u18s 6-0 today. just thought id throw that in there :p

Did you watch the Youth Cup Quarters?

Great game.

3-2 to Man U, after Liverpool led 2-0. 4 Sending offs.

The first 2 sending offs were a joke. The Liverpool player hardly touched him for the penalty. And Paul Pogba's second yellow was silly too.

Funnily enough only one player from the Youth cup game played against Liverpool on Saturday.

Anyway, Newcastle tonight. Never like it when Man Utd have to go there, even though we have a good record against them, they really put pressure on us throughout the game and play a lot higher than usual.

So Balotelli apparently gives homeless people money on the regular.

He probably kicks them after. He is Trollolotelli after all.

has anyone here heard of Warrior? they manufacture sports gear.

liverpool are supposed to have signed a 25 million pounds per year deal with them as their kit supplier, replacing Adidas.

Starting when? Cause ive already seen Liverpools away kit for next season. As for Warrior... Never heard of em... New guys on the block? I hope they dont fold like Canterbury. I really liked them and their kits were quality stuff.

^^it will start for the 2013/2014 season i believe.

and they are an american subsidary of New Balance. they manufacture lacrosse and basketball stuff i think. this would be their first time ever manufacturing soccer stuff i think.

25 million a year is a really good deal. i think it was only something like 12 million a year with Adidas.

Yeah. I just read a report on it on a site.

Liverpool have wrapped up a £25m-a-year kit deal with Boston-based company Warrior Sports, according to reports in Friday's papers.
Warrior, a subsidiary of New Balance, will take over from adidas ahead of the 2012-13 season and it is expected to be a long-term relationship which puts Nike’s deal with Manchester United - worth £23.5m - into the shade.

The news comes as a huge blow to their current kit manufacturers as Liverpool's shirt is the fourth-highest selling replica in the world.
Around 900,000 shirts are sold annually, a number only beaten by North West rivals United, plus Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Liverpool owner John W Henry had said that the club would only spend money that it generates and with Champions League football at least another season away, the promise of funds will boost the club's muscle in the transfer market.

Warrior are a big player in the United States where they have traditionally been associated with ice hockey and lacrosse.
The company, set up by Dave Morrow - who also invented the first ever titanium lacrosse stick - was bought out by New Balance in 2004.
The brand was transformed from a niche-market player to a huge brand big enough to sign a multi-year deal with the baseball giants Red Sox.
As part of the company's expansion, they have increased the number of player sponsorships and worldwide sales totalling £1billion has facilitated the move into football.

lol at birmingham being demolished. sunderland finally look to be getting a result now, though i wanted wigan, blackpool and wolves to win to pile pressure on blues.

Hernandez <3

Looks like QPR will be promoted some time soon. Nothing against QPR, but I do not want to hear Neil Warnock complain about the referee after every game next season. Even when he wins he complains, and the fact he's a qualified referee doesn't excuse his behaviour.

They do hockey stuff.. High high high quality hockey gear.

It'll be interesting to see a new player in the jersey game. :)
