11/12 Premier League thread

well tbf Gerrard did something similar a couple of seasons ago on Michael Brown and he got off with nothing even though it was clear as day he smashed him in the face.

i think England internationals seem to get special treatment especially the better ones. like Babel got a fine for a joke he made on twitter and Rooney hits a guy in the head and gets nothing.

and also Ashley Cole should also be hit with a fine at least for this air rifle incident.

Agreed. Plus Rooney is a huge attraction for the Chelsea game, as is Cole. They would rather these players played in the big games.

chelsea v man utd tonight. predictions?

i think united will snatch a 1-0 win. but im hoping for a chelsea win. and then an arsenal win on the weekend, with another united loss against liverpool.

I was kind of pissed off at that too. The FA doesn't protect the players at all.

Where did i say i was pissed off by Gerrard not getting punished?

and why the hell would someone who calls themselves a liverpool supporter be pissed off when Steven Gerrard doesnt get punished?

Probably be a draw tonight. I don't understand why the media keep harping on about how Torres rips Vidic, he's done it twice in about 8 meetings :|

I said I was, because even if it was Gerrard, I stayed objective regarding the security of all players (bar Savage, Rooney and Bowyer) in the fucking league...

Here's what went through my head, maybe you'll understand why I was pissed off... Two reasons why I was mad at Gerrard.

Number one:
For instance, Gerrard elbows a dude in the head, guy falls down, bleeds, Stevie doesn't get sent off... Later in the game, a guy like Bowyer or some other leg-breaking lumberjack runs into Gerrard and by taking revenge, breaks his leg. We're out of Gerrards.

Number two:
And I was pissed at Gerrard that day because that's not the way Liverpool plays. Liverpool does not break legs or heads to win a game. He's playing with the Red shirt on and therefore has a responsibility to honor the club by playing fair and not like an enforcer in the National Hockey League. To me, the image of the club is important.

Do you get why I think it's important for the league to protect every player, may they be our rivals or not?

Bilyaletdinov: Hodgson can‘t park a car.

„When Roy Hodgson was the Liverpool manager he was my neighbor. He was polite and a good guy but one thing that i hated about him was that he couldnt park his car. He had a big car and always took two spots and one of them was mine, the first thing i taught when I heard he was sacked was Yes! Now i get my parking spot back.“ Said Bilyaletdinov in a article he wrote on www.sports.ru

lmao.

Torres has looked bad, he's attempted some horrible crosses. Each sides goals were great. This game is intense. van der Sar's save, along with whichever back chested it on Lampard's free kick was fucking nice.

Penalty kick, call was a little ehhh but oh well

Too bad van der sar didnt just hold his spot lol

Great 2nd half performance from Chelsea, wonder where that's been the past 4 months.

Anyone see Drogba in the last 5 minutes ? Jeez the guy is strong as fuck. The Utd defenders were bouncing off him.

Drogba is a beast, I still think they should have started him instead of Anelka. Torres speed with Drogbas power is hard to match up with. Great game to watch. I'm sort of glad Chelsea won, makes these games coming up that much more meaningful.

Why are Chelsea persisting with 442? To facilitate Torres?

They need to stick with the diamond. That's what the personnel are suited for. Torres plays up front, or Drogba. Not both.

We were awful really in the second half. Our midfield is far too one paced and weak. When Chelsea started powering forward we struggled to keep up. Rooney scored but missed an absolute sitter. Meh.

Torres was shit.
