11/12 Premier League thread

it was a clear free out to spurs. yes he should play the whistle but there should have been a fucking whistle.

and the usual bullshit i hear after Man Utd are helped out by the officials is that they would have won anyway because they were the better team bla bla bla. if they had only a 1-0 lead heading into the last 5 minutes, anything can happen even if they were playing better than Spurs. but this bullshit decision finishes the game off for them.

what about last week? did you not think that Neville deserved a second booking?

Nevilles second was a definite booking. But, and you won't like this, I wasn't sure that the first was....

I also think Nani should have got the penalty today! But... If I was the ref. I'd have ruled out Nani's goal. It's easier to take it away, than give it. You get less hassle.

Man United get some breaks, but all teams do. Which is why I was against goal line technology. I like the debate afterwards... But.... I now concede and agree it is necessary. Imagine losing a WC final due to some shit ref FIFA decided should be in charge. Even if he only refed the Mongolian 1st division.

Also clatternberg is a shit ref anyway. Why don't you moan bobby when other teams get decisions? Smh if anyone said anything about liverpool you go mental. Torres did the same thing, was it the same ref btw?

Ay Bobby.....whatever happened last night with the Nani goal was just one of those days where the system doesn't work. To say the officials helped United win is a no go zone. Nani did handle the ball, the keeper popped the ball forward to try gain an advantage. Either way, it was all comical if you watch how Nani had flung himself on the ground like a toddler only to get up and score the goal. Like tHuG said Torres did the same thing. Yes, Neville deserved a second booking and a sending off but, the first wasn't worthy of a booking.......even on playstaion.

All in all United have been horrible defensively and Spurs might have equalized had it remained at one-nil. In the words of Jose Mourinho "You can't win a game if you don't score."

Anyway, who's to say what could have been when the result is already there?

Nevilles first yellow wasn't a yellow. But lets kick that under the carpet because its Man Utd and just go on this bitter twisted conspiracy theory :thumb:

goal.com is an absolute disgrace.they have an articles today saying how it was some Liverpool fans who were causing all the trouble last night and attacking innocent Napoli fans lol. yet it was Liverpool fans who got stabbed out there 2 weeks ago and they had nothing about that. by all accounts it was most of the Napoli supporters starting shit last night and some Liverpool fans were only too happy to give it back after what happened 2 weeks ago.

Carlo Garganese is the most biased cunt. a useless reporter. he has dick so far up Italy and Juventus's ass its unreal.

^^doesnt get a look in at spurs anymore. neither do alot of other good players. they cant keep them all.

I wouldn't mind seeing him at Liverpool. He'll get the playing time he deserves there + it's good for our NT instead of him rotting on the bench. Word is a 7mil bid for January, so we'll see how that pans out.

I don't even go on GOAL.com anymore, they've disgusted me one too many times.

^^7 million is alot since they paid less for him and he is on the bench now. they dont deserve 7 million. 4 million would be fair. and that would be a bargain for Liverpool. id like to see him at liverpool.

he is worth about 7-10 million imo but i dont think Spurs should get near that for him.

I agree, but you know they're gonna boost up the price to make a lot off what was a steal at 2mil from Tottenham. Sadly, that's business. In other news...

Exclusive - Miller: Forget Bale's magic, Modric was man of the match!

By Nick Rostron-Pike
Wednesday, November 3

Paul Miller has sung the praises of Luka Modric after Tottenham's 3-1 win against Inter Milan.

Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show the former defender was so impressed with the Croatian's performance that he should have been given the man of the match award over Gareth Bale.

Bale set up goals for Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko in a blistering second half performance but Miller would have still given the award to Modric.

He said: "I thought he was man of the match [Modric], Bale is obviously going to take the plaudits because of the way he runs and made the goals but I thought Modric had a fantastic battle with Wesley Sneijder, who is a world class player.

"To see the two of them doing battle without kicking each other, because that's not their game, was wonderful and he taught Sneijder a lesson, there aren't too many people in the world who can say they have done that.

"In the second half, when van der Vaart went off he [Modric] got hold of the midfield and kept the ball for Tottenham at a time when Inter were looking to push on.

"People forget because they look at Bale's runs and they're 50-60 yards but with Modric it was wonderful play for the first goal and he's one of the very few players who can open teams up like that. To watch him and van der Vaart playing in their little triangle with Bale in the first half was a pleasure."

Mange mon penis, Mr. Bale.
