Are you happy with strachan being the new boss?
Not particularly but Scotland is such a shitty league in reality it's the best we could expect. Strachan's a decent manager and it's possible he'll do quite well (I sure hope he does) but for a club of Celtic's stature I want better. The sooner they get out of the SPL and into the Premiership the better.

That aint true, celtic are a huge club and they could have got a top coach quite easily! your dreaming if you think any scottish team is going to any other league.

A big club yes but what big manager would want to come to a league which is an endless two horse race? Too be honest the SPL is boring as fuck. OK Rangers won it this season but Celtic will probably win it next and it'll keep going in circles for the next million years. A move into the Premiership would be immensly beneficial for both sides. Alas, I think we'll be a long time waiting.

In terms of "big" mangers I refer to the likes of Mourhino, Wenger, Rikjard etc. O'Neil and Advocaat are good managers but not in the elite tear which both Celtic and Rangers should be striving to attract.

Frank Rijkaard hasn't done much in his career as a manager so you can hardly put him on the list.

But yeah, I get what you mean. Mourinho, Wenger, Capello etc.

Although I do think O'Neill could walk into most jobs in Britain nowadays & Advocaat had a huge reputation & a good record.

If we were in the Premiership - never going to happen btw - then we'd get them. But we're not there, so we've got to take what we can get.

IMO it's pretty disgraceful that two of the biggest clubs in Europe nevermind Britain are confined to a fucking backwater to fight it out between themselves. Ah well hope springs eternal ;)

I take exception to the use of 'backwater' to describe our league you bastard!

But yeah, we are 2 of the biggest clubs in the world & what bothers me is we don't get the TV revenue. To be honest, I'd take the SPL with a Premiership level TV income than the Premiership with an SPL level TV income. The money prevents us from reaching our potential.

Il fill you in, When mcleish took over at rangers we wer'e something like 15 points behind celtic so the league was obviously over, we wer'e still in 2 cup comps, we won both of them, the following year we won the treble, the year after that was last season an we won nothing, this season we won the double, mcleish has won 1 more trophy than o'neil and has been here less time.
Rangers also wer'e 80 million in debt last year and had to let a lot of big players go.
