Most Eastern European countries have corrupt leagues and are quick to sell off talent. For example, my club got around 15 MIL in outgoing transfers, Kalinic, Gabric and Brkljaca to name a few, but when it came to replacing them, apparently there was 'no money' ... We got eliminated at home by Zilina for the Europa Cup, and for some reason our newly appointed manager gets a heart attack, 3 owners resign, 1 gets a bottle across the head, and now...our newly appointed CEO is called 'King Baker' cause he owns half of the bakery shops in Split and has a background of shady business.
It's like this in many other countries, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania, (even though they have some stronger clubs like Cluj and Steua) etc .... but the talent is there, but the people making the right choices for the club aren't. In the 90s people feared Eastern European clubs, now for the most part, we're just laughable.......
