Yeah, i likend him to Evra awhile back, not as good but hes highly attacking. £16.2 million is too much for him though. He will be in the Portugal team in the Euros.

Liverpool sign Degen, which has been met with apathy from what I've seen. A lot of fans, Liverpool and otherwise, are questioning whether he's good enough.

Real Madrid sign Garay, though he may end up back at Racing for a season on loan.

Arsenal are supposedly closing in on Nasri, according to some reports.

Degen from Dortmund? loooooool. I love Dortmund, but Degen isn't ready to head to Liverpool, he's still wobbly in the back.

Wow, what the fuck is Benitez doing.

Anyways, the Nasri link from what I've been hearing will happen.

Wouldn't that technically be last season's signings? I'm sure there's a new wad of cash coming with the start of the new season...

And even then...

Why does a big club like 'Pool only have(has?) that little to spend?
The owners, one of them happens to be the owner of my fav. hockey club, decided that they spent too much last year (40M Euros for Babel, Skrtel and Torres) and they believe that Benitez can find what he wants with 20M Euros.

Thing is that Benitez will probably buy some twatazoid who will be a flop. Meanwhile, good players like Carragher, Hyypia, Finnan, Riise, Alonso won't see any playing time and will sit on the bench while great clubs will be crying because they can't use any of them (i.e.: Alonso with Real Madrid).

This fat piece of shit can go to hell. I'm boycotting Liverpool until he leaves. I hope they fall in the Championship next season.

They should never have sold the club to those Yanks. Fat, old, white, rich American men have no clue, interest or business managing a football club. Those idiots need to realize you need to be on top of the transfer market if you want to compete in every area.

^Yeh..

Well Marca said that Man Utd sold C.Ronaldo to Real Madrid for 125M Euros.

Then again, Marca is less credible than all of the English papers put together.

That's why you liverpool fans wish you had a chairman like Randy Lerner who listens to the manager and especially our fans. Rewards the fans so much and takes a back-seat role, not interfering with the manager's plans.

He gives MON his full support and backing and has invested in so much since taking over, i.e. the £12m new training ground complex, sponsorship with Nike, giving to charities, starting up new schemes, improving the club stores and stadium amongst many other things.

This is a new beginning and villa are on the rise once again.

We will break into the top 4, it's only a matter of time.

We will keep Gareth Barry.

Note: Sad to see Olof Mellberg leave.

Duke isn't a Liverpool fan. lol. He's a Twente boyo. :D

As for Americanas taking hold of football clubs. It just doesn't work. They think football is like any other sport here in North America. Little do they know, football fans will die for their club, unlike in the USA, if the Green Bay Packers disappeared, no one would give a shit.

On a random note, Hajduk's Torcida are trying to buy the club from the dirty bastards in control. lol. Liverpool have started a trend. :thumb:

Americans take over a footy club expecting shit will be the same as in the States. But it's a whole different ballgame (huhuhuhu), both on and off the pitch.

And yeah, lol, teams in the States get relocated all the time. Bought up, relocated, disbanded, re-established.

I'd like to see a rich Yank buy a European footy club and relocate it, LMAO. He'll be lynched in the streets.

May i remind you that Benitez has brought Liverpool to FA Cup and Champions League success to Liverpool as well as an other CHampions League final appearance. I like Benitez. He is a good man and i am grateful for what he has done(even though i have criticised him heavily). But i agree with you, i think it is time for him to move on. I am extremely worried about some of the players he is rumoured to be signing. They are not Liverpool stadard players and make no improvement on what we already have. What is Degen going to bring to Liverpool? I hear that he an attacking full back. Why havent we signed Rafinha instead? He couldnt be much good if he is playing with a mediocre Borussia Dortmund team at the age of 25.He isnt exactly a youngster.

While Gareth Barry is an excellent player, he isnt what we need right now unless he is bought to play at left back. A position he is wasted in.
