Where are you at now?

yeah I played 2 games enough times to remember the main parts.....the annoying thing is, it's so vast, no matter how many times you play there's always shit you missed.
I'm beating up those martial artists to get to the yellow head building to finally see Zhu.

Is first part better than second?
Is it worth getting a Dc + Shenmue? :D

Hmm......is that the bit where you have to impress the scout as a fighter? I like that bit.

I like them both equally for different reasons but yes it is TOTALLY worth getting a DC and the first game.

yeah I just defeated them. It was a nice part, I finally learned how to fight :p lol

So when I'll have some spare money I'll get myself a dc with Shenmue. It's unbelievable how many dialogues they had to record for that game. There are like few hundreds people there, each person looks different and has different voice and you can ask just any question whenever in the game. It's crazy.

Overall DC was a great console. One of my old mates had it and I loved playing it. I remember how dissapointed I was when they said they won't make any new games on it. I'd love to see a new console from Sega. It's a classic company.

PS. It annoys me that I can't go out with Joy :p she's a one sexy lady :d
PS2. No spoilers about Joy please :D

that post doesn't necessarily inspire me at all.

i was gonna say "i'm getting a dc with shenmue too when i have some extra cash" but now i just don't know. i fucking HATE a bad ending.

edit: btw i know you are talking about shenmue 2 right now but the idea was to get shenmue 1, then 2 later on and play them both. just getting the one is not an option, and like i said i now have to carefully think about getting them both.

Seriously before I played it for the first time (and that was about month ago) my favorite games of all time were Red alert and GTA series.

Now with all honesty I can say that it's my favorite game of all time and the best gaming story ever told.
This game is just close to perfect. I was sad because second part leaves you with most unsolved stuff and no answers and you think like there just has to be at least another part - Shenmue 3. The game just cuts in the middle of the story.
But I have to admit that ending as well as few last hours of that game are just beautiful.
It makes you want to just continue playing but the pain is that you can't because it just simply ends here.
Now I get it why so many people want the sequel.

I'm looking for used DC with Shenmue 1 now but can't find it here, as soon as I'll have the opportunity I'll buy it without a doubt.

I really suggest you at least give that game a chance, I think that it's not a game for everyone but if you'll like it you'll be greatly impressed.

That's exactly how I feel. Spot on. It's impossible to describe just how deep it is until you play it. I consider it less of a game than it is a life experience. It leaves a mark on you and changes the way you look at things, the way you think.

It will be nothing short of a crime to humanity if they never make the third part. And when they do, no matter what console it comes out on, I'm getting that console the day the game comes out.

Anyone who hasn't played it would probably say that this post is over to the top. But anyone who has, will understand completely.

Exactly! I'm totally with you on this one.

I became a big Shenmue fan since I played it for the first time ( like I said it was about a month ago)
Amazing game and as you said, life experience. It's more than any other game.

Guess what? There's Sega's new console coming out and that would mean increased chances of us getting new Shenmue

edit: it's not coming out :(

Just got it, it's beautiful.
