Yeah I think Ziming will definately show up. I actually think he will fight his sister, that would be epic. Yeah the tiger move has to be something awesome. You know what move I love the most though - that double spin one where he does the sweeping roundhouse and then spins it into the jumping kick. That one was the shiznit.
.
Tornado Kick? The one you learn from Tom? I totally overuse it on that 70 man battle :)

On those flashbacks Ziming seemed to be a good guy. He cared about his sister and all untill he decided to leave her to find those killers or something.

And about Fallout 3 and Oblivion I got bored of them really fast. Like Casey said Shenmue is something totally different.

Yeah I think by this point Ziming would have been totally brainwashed by the Chi You Men.

And yes - Tornado Kick! That's the one - I use it a lot on the 70 man battle too lol, it's the best move IMO.

btw i saw one of your points on Shenmue Dojo - szymon7, right?

I didn't know that you're there too. yeah 7 or 247. I'm a noob there with just a few posts lol That's where I find out most info about Shenmue though.

The last time I played Shenmue I finally used some throw moves for the first time I think. Before that I was just using dodge, kicks and punches. And yeah Tornado Kick is awesome.
In Shenmue 2 there's a more powerful move. Brawling uppercut I think?

Yeah Brawling Uppercut is powerful as shit, but it's slow and easier for opponents to dodge.

btw, I just found a beat that I made 2 years ago where I sampled some music from Shenmue. It's dope. I might do something with it.

I found this not long ago:

It samples Shenmue.

I though that they are amateur but they are pretty dope now. They are affiliated with Termanology and Evidence. I really dig some of their tracks even apart from that Shenmue beat.

I especially like this now:

That's not bad, but my beat is better. I thought it would be a bit of a cop-out to simply sample the main theme. I sampled other parts from the game. I really need to finish up the track. There's two of them actually.

Before I die, I have one request.

MAKE SHENMUE 3!!!!!!!!!

Please. Please Please Please. I need closure. I can't be stuck in a goddamm cave in China forever. Dammit. Make the game you fucker. Microsoft, Sega give him lots of money to make this damn game. It's been like 5 years now! Arrghghgh

Yu, do you not remember the Wudu? You told us that one of them was,

Do it!!!!
hey look its masta from his avatar!!

Shenmue 2 was even better than the first. Just, incredible. It sucked you in and became a part of your life, it's more of an experience than a video game, I'd say.

Which is why god damn Yu Suzuki needs to make the third one!!!!!!
i dont understand how a video game can do that, though i know some games are just addictive.

ive never played the shenmue games. i dont even know if i have it on the dreamcast or not.

*slow sarcastic clap*

and by the way

i dont understand how a video game can do that
ive never played the shenmue games
That's why. There's nothing else like it. It becomes deeply ingrained into you. You become the character without even realizing. You forget you're even playing a video game, it's like your life, your quest, you feel emotional attachment to your friends and the people you meet...... there's just no way to accurately decribe it unless you've played it. It's a whole world.

masta knows how it is.

Oh yes.
My first time with Shenmue was the most epic video game experience incomparable to anything else.
The fact that it's a 2001 game (made in the 90s) and the first time I experienced it was in 2007 or 2008 makes it even more incredible.
Seriously the ending of Shenmue 2 was when I had my feelings mixed like never before lol
it was so epic and yet I knew that there's no sequel.

Wow, I didn't realise that you hadn't played it when it came out! I got a DC shortly after it launched and I remember getting Shenmue when it came out, I was super hyped after reading some articles in the official Dreamcast magazine about it. Needless to say, it exceeded every expectation I had.

I was even more hyped when I learned that Shenmue 2 was coming out for the Dreamcast, and I got that immediately. Then after the rumor first started that there would also be an xbox release, I made sure to get an Xbox. Of course I was always anticipating that Shenmue 3 would follow soon after on the Xbox......but we know how that turned out :(

I'm really hoping that Yu Suzuki, Sega and Microsoft understand just how sick it could be to have Shenmue 3 with Project Natal. It has to be done!!!

yeah I also remember reading about Shenmue back in the days but at that time I only had PSX and there were no Dreamcasts here. At that time I thought that Shenmue fans are overexaggerating lol
I think that proves even more how awesome Shenmue is, considering my first experience with it was so many years after it's release. I can't even picture how awesome it would have been to play it back in 2000.
If Shenmue 3 would be as good as Shenmue 2, even based on the same engine and similar graphics to me that could be the last game ever released, okay we still wouldn't know the conclusion since it was supposed to contain 16 chapters but seriously I would give up all other gaming just to play Shenmue 3.

I like that trailer. I also like that Project Berkley video.

People who have never experienced Shenmue must be wondering why the hell this thread got started and why a few guys still post about that old ass game lol

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

That is too fucking cool. Thanks Sega for throwing us a bone!

This game will be EPIC. When's it out? I must have it! Can we preorder it yet?

RYO > EVERYONE

I dont think I'll even play any other characters once I get this game. Ryo is the fucking don.

Cheers for posting that masta! I was checking up on it a few days ago but the info wasn't released yet at that time.

This is too fucking cool.

I was also as excited the first time I saw this.

If I remember correctly it'll be out in January-February 2010.

This gives some hope imo:

Originally developed by the legendary Yu Suzuki for SEGA, Ryo has yet to gain his revenge
and I lold at this:

We saw lots of comments on the internet about what people would do if Ryo was in the game. Scream, cry, buy the game day one, etc were all popular sentiments. But the most interesting one came from CVG.

Of course, if Ryo appears avec forklift … we’ll be ripping out this page and washing it down with the office crate of Pisswasser while bowing to our new Sega overlords.
All I can say is…. we’re waiting.
