To be fair, although people who bond over their gadgets sicken me... Good customer service goes a long way... I am looking at a new car... And I'm tempted by a 5 Series, but beemer garages are full of pompous twats. So I might buy a lexus as their customer service is top notch.
lol. When I got my Audi here I was lucky. I was only 26 and the older sales dude took me seriously and didnt make it like i was wasting his time even though I ummed and ahhhed for about 2 weeks.

I had the same experience when I got my wife her Focus last week, some companies are starting to take CS alot more seriously than before

It's just the sales men at BMW act like they own the company or something. When in fact they are poorly paid sales idiots.

I bought an expensive car when I was 21. I think I paid too much for it to be honest. I felt like I had to prove I could afford it to the salesman. A bit stupid really.

That may be the ones in England. Here, they're top-notch. Polite, quick, and honest. That's with our four years of free maintenance and they're switching shit out left and right for us just because we asked them too. It's why my dad bought two cars in less than three years from them.

We also had three Lexuses. Lexii? I dunno. My dad loved them for the same reason. Ride quality of the cars and the customer service. It goes a long way. I've seen it with my parents.

Apple is very much like Lexus. Everything is prompt and quick. They don't waste your time with coonshit. They more than likely will replace the part than try and force you to pay for repairs.

You don't have to kill Itunes since it's a piece of crap :p Or, is killing it good? The fact that Walmart tried to compete.. well, LOL.

Anyway I know that BMW is considered to be premium class in western countries but not really here. I know that they are great cars but here usually jerks drive them and jerks sell them. Thanks to the German boarder nearby they are pretty cheap too. I would rather go for Audi, Mercedes or Lexus, though new BMWs look pretty good.

Yeah, the stereotype is here too, although it seems that most of the pricks are young guys (like myself) who drive M3s (which I don't) which they bought with their first pay checks at their new law firm (nothing of which I do, have, etc.). They just tend to be douches thinking the car is gonna get em laid.

That crowd seems to have moved on to the newer Audi A/S/RS4s and the C class Benzes. Very rarely will you see a prick in a Lexus, though. You will, however, see a wannabe-prick in an Acura TL. Ooooo, I hate those more than anyone.

Most polite youngsters? 350Z drivers. Hands down.

Pitts, if you're planning on buying a new 5, or another make in the same class, the new 5s are downright amazing. We had one as a loaner car when our car went in for servicing. It was a 528 and it was anemic compared to my previous generation 535, but the interior is a huge bump up and the ergonomics have improved vastly.

New Lexus GS comes out in a few years. If you're buying new and don't want to feel cheated by the refresh, save up for a little longer. Could probably by some extra goodies with two years more saved up pocket money.

I'm sure BMWs are cheaper there, obviously because of the proximity, but we always get the more powerful engines :p . Although many people I know envy diesels and yearned for the 535D. Never came. But it's coming slowly now.

As for iTunes, I can't vouch for or against it, but it seems adults that can't afford to spend time pirating music or don't know where to go, iTunes/Amazon seem like the best options that also keep their consciences clean from piracy. Plus the App Store is there too.

Yeah but here it goes far beyond the stereotype. Even when I was in London I couldn't really forget that I'm not in Poland and that actually very normal people drive BMWs and there's nothing to worry about when I see a BMW stop by.
Here a lot of BMW owners would look like this:

I know that they are great cars and all. Just that douches like that company here. They somehow don't consider Audi or Mercedes to be as cool, though probably statistically jerks tend to drive several year old German cars more than anything else here, mainly because of lower price for what they offer and how "gangsta" they feel.
Lexus is a safe bet everywhere I guess. Good and nice cars.

I want the 3 litre straight 6, if buy the BMW. I've had enough of Diesels. My A6 is a Diesel. And it's noisy as fuck. Although the beemer Diesel is better.

They may be making a tri-turbo diesel, AWD....M5. They saw production numbers for parts and all. 5.0L V8. Dunno what to think.

Get a 535i M Sport. In Sapphire Black Metallic. We'll be chums.

I feel you may not know about the "ricer" moniker, and what it means. Basically, if you are not a woman and you drive a Honda Civic or Accord, you may be seen as this: http://www.modenstudios.com/realrice/ricerparty.jpg

lmfao poor Civics. I think that I came across these back in the days when looking at Civics. Funny how there are different habits if it comes to cars in different countries.

Don't want to pay the extortionate Road tax, Insurance and Petrol charges we have on that engine in the UK. 3.0i is about my limit in terms of engine vs expenditure. And.... M Sport all the way.

It is a 3.0L engine. Just has two turbos. That significantly raises the tax and insurance?

Road Tax works on Carbon Emissions over here. The difference between the 2 engines is £500 in road tax. It's not that I couldn't afford it. It works out to about £40 a month. It's just the principle. And it's not like I need the power. I drive like a 75 year old most of the time.

AS long as I have the sound that comes from the Straight 6. And the MSport styling. I'm good. Mostly I care about the interior goodies.

I'm still not 100% sold. The Lexus is far better value for money. I'm gonna wait 6 months and decide then.

If you drive like a 70 year old, you should probably get the Lexus then. With the Bimmer, you will feel everything on the road through the wheel. Suspension is great, but not as plush as the Lexus.

Does Lexus in the UK still offer the same benefits? 4 years free maintenance and all?

I don't know actually... A colleague had a lexus and really loved the customer service. But sold it because of an annoying knocking noise they couldn't resolve.

Is Hyundai as good in the UK as it is here?

I wouldn't by one because I'm too proud (could change when I have to go make a dollar on my own, but until then..) but the Genesis and Equus are very nice, I'll admit. I'm not too sure on performance being on par with a E class or 5er or GS, but the price certainly is. Interior is just as good and amenities come much cheaper.

In the US, they have or will overtake the Japanese in cars sold. Hyundai and Kia are one and the same, similar to Lexus and Toyota, although not that distinguished between economy and luxury manufacturers. I think they have 10 year warranties, either all-encompassing, or just for transmission, but either way it's a good guarantee. I believe they do the 4, or so, years of maintenance too.

Worth a look. The Genesis is more in class you're looking for, in terms of size and all, and the Equus is more of an LS, 7 series, S-Class competitor.

How is Jaguar in the UK? Still rather expensive? XFs had people ooh-ing and ah-ing here. Never was a fan..

Bring the thread back under the reigns.

I know that Hyundai here is considered to be one of the worst cheap brands. Not popular at all. I'm actually surprised to hear about it next to Lexus or BMW :p
