The ban on the sale of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 across Europe has been temporarily lifted while a court looks at whether the original ruling was appropriate.
lawl. here's where that whole thing about apple falsifying evidence comes into play...

So an unlawful ban forced Google to spend billions on a floundering company. Double winning.
What are you blathering on about? This Moto deal has been over 8 months in the making, if not longer. And it doesn't matter if Moto's hardware loses money. (btw, they are HARDLY floundering). The value is in the patents. 17,000 of them or so. And it has little to do with Apple. Actually more to do with Microsoft who have been far more aggressive and already did a deal with HTC for patent licensing.

Also, the funniest part is that Google knew this was all going down when they forced the value of the Nortel patents up from $900 million to over $4 billion. Essentially, Apple and Microsoft just paid over $4 billion for nothing because those patents are now useless for the intended purpose (to try and bully Google).

Pretty obvious who the REAL winner here is. Google spent $9 billion on Moto (Moto has $3billion in the bank) and secured their litigation-free future. Apple and Microsoft spent $4.5 billion for no reason at all. MicroApple fail.

Here goes another answer to the question "why do you think that Apple is unethical".
You can label it as being "unethical" or being overprotective or being aggressive towards their competition, but the fact is, that's how you have to be in this day and age. The US is very litigious as a society and the same goes for the businesses based there. People WILL sue for the smallest things. So Apple is sitting their trying to protect themselves.

You can make fun of Apple for fighting over very trivial things, but they don't have the final say in whether what another company is doing is legal or not. Go yell at the patent office for allowing these things to be copyrighted.

Suing for stupid things is one thing and falsifying evidence is another thing. Both suck though.

Yeah it's silly that retarded things are being copyrighted too.

Apple did get caught with its pants down if it truly did alter the image in their favor. It's something so stupid to do that I can not believe they did it.

Needless to say, worse has been done. More silly things, like this, will be done by many companies, not just Apple, to gain the upperhand. It's just a matter of getting caught. Silly Apple for getting caught.

Also the purchase of Motorola will bring technology that will help in teh manufacture of Google TV. Which, currently, is pants. But not as pants as Apple Tv.

Logitech and Sony were not good enough manufacturers?

Agreed that Apple TV sucks shit. I got a feeling once the ball on TV products like that gets rolling, we'll have a new player in the game, not just Apple and Google. And that said manufacturer will trump both of them.

At the moment there are far better options out there. I think Google will get there first, with their home automation involved too.

Exactly. I see Google TV converging with the Android@Home project. This is the wrong thread to discuss that though.

It's not fake - I don't see any proof of photo manipulation, that box with random red squares over it, I couldn't see what they were trying to point out other than the fact that it's a low quality image. If I see an original unedited photo to compare it with, then cool, but unfortunately I don't think there is one.

The source that sold the photo to TMZ are a reputable picture agency.
