yeah but he should also be aware that it'll probably "leak". While it might work and brainwash his troops I doubt it's ethic. I for sure wouldn't want to have a boss like him.

At least it seems that flash support is not on Iphones and Ipad because Adobe refused to adapt the flash player to their devices and Jobs turned it into a diss saying that "they didn't do it because they're lazy".

One of the comments also claims:

And before all that was Adobe taking Microsoft's coin to make Adobe CS run better on Windows than Mac which first got Apple riled.
and lol at these:

Adobe is lazy because, "they have all this potential to do interesting things but they refuse to do it."

Yet, Apple releases a tablet that does not use Flash, does not multitask, does not have USB slots (I know you can buy a converter, but come'on), does not have a camera, and costs over $600 for the version that has 3G.

Are we sure Adobe is the company that is lazy?
"The world is moving to HTML5"

Then that world doesn't include you, because then I wouldn't have to fucking install Quicktime to see your iPad keynote and your movie trailers.

And I thought flash was bad. Quicktime is a disaster.

LMFAO.

Supposedly, Apple just contacted a developer whose iPhone app description mentioned that the app had won a prize in Google's Android Developer Challenge and forced him to remove that information from the app description.

Between that and Steve Jobs throwing a hissy fit about Google like a little girl at that employee meeting...looks like somebody is feeling scared, threatened and backed into a corner.

run rabbit run rabbit run run run

Flash is a resource hog on OS X plain and simple. Of Course Macs can run flash without problems but it starts to become a problem when you're running on a battery powered device.

Flash is a proprietary software owned by Adobe therefore Adobe fails at providing a proper software on the OS X platform and the problem is out of Apple's hands.

Hulu Could Still Launch On The iPad

All that doesn't really matter with the iPad because, again, No Flash? Who Cares? No Farmville? THANK GOD!

Not that big of a deal.

apple co-founder steve jobs himself reached out to publishers in early february, attempting to convince them to provide their content in a digital form on his company's forthcoming ipad. But according to the financial times, those talks have "stumbled."

another report from the publication noted that talks are "friendly and continuing," but said that apple's business models would be a radical change for the print business. One unnamed newspaper senior media executive said apple's reluctance to share consumer data beyond sales volume is "pretty damn close" to being a dealbreaker.

"publishers have spent decades collecting information about subscribers that influence marketing plans and, in some cases, the content of the publication itself," the report said. "apple's policy would separate them from their most valuable asset, publishing executives said."

some publishers also said apple's revenue model, which gives the content provider 70 percent of sales while apple keeps 30 percent, does not make much sense for subscriptions. Publishers are also reportedly concerned that they will see the same impact itunes had on the music industry in 2003, when individual song sales from apple severely impacted consumer purchases of full albums.

The financial times noted that some publishers, such as news corp's wall street journal, have gotten around apple's revenue sharing model by offering a free application that allows users to log in to the newspaper's web site with their subscription. But that "complicated" method isn't as simple as the one-click purchasing of itunes.

Apple's entrance into the e-reader market has already shaken up the industry before the ipad is even available for sale. The introduction of the ipad has driven publishers to force market leader amazon into higher prices for new hardcover bestsellers. While books are currently priced at $9.99 on the kindle, that is expected to rise to between $12.99 and $14.99 by the time the ipad launches in march.

Apple will serve books for the ipad through its ibookstore, due to be a part of the ibooks application for ipad. The software features a 3d virtual bookshelf displaying a user's personal collection, and allows the purchase of new content from major publishers. Like the kindle, it will offer content from the new york times bestsellers list.

On a totally serious note this device COULD really be cool if it wasn't fucked up by Apple. You know - adding 1 or 2 usb ports, a video camera and at least some basic multitasking would do. Then if the price was quite reasonable I really wouldn't say that it's a piece of shit.

I think the new iPhone OS, which will be used in the iPad too, but hasnt been shown yet, will offer multitasking. I think i will take Ruk's advice and wait until that is launched before I fully judge the iPad and get one.
