Group E
Another very interesting group. I don't know about Italy guys this time around they haven't seem to be playing the same football they once did in 1994 or even 98 but they might prove to be strong once again with the Del Piero's and Vieri's if they are part of this WC.

It brings us to Ghana, which are considered to be the Brazil of Africa and this is no joke as they have a killer trio: Appiah, Essien, and Muntari. They also have a very strong defense which constrasts to typical African teams. Expect a similar showdown to France vs. Senegal when Ghana meets the Italians. Offense and defense balanced alltogether, what do you need more?

USA will bring about another reunion for Ghanaian youngster - I forgot his name. Anyways their team may have key players but prolly won't be enough to pass through the second round.

This brings us to the Czech, the team that should've won last Eurocup. Anyways key players to watch: Koller, Baros, Cech, and making his international return is the great Pavel Nedved. They will bring it all as this is Nedved and Koller's last international appearance at a major tournament. Expect them to go very far in the tournament.

Predictions: Czech 1st, Ghana 2nd.
i wouldnt be surprised if italy doesnt make it. but i wouldnt be surprised if they actually make it. if they want badly to win they will.
but i do expect czech to be 1st in this group. maybe italy 2nd? i dont really know about ghana's performances.

I doubt Italy will make it out the group, they get exposed so much.

I disagree with all the African teams making it out the group.

Agreed except i think as it's such as even split in the Ivory Coast group they may sneak through. I hope so anyway, them and Serbia hopefully! :thumb: ;)

Group F
I call this group, the most balanced one because of the exception of Brasil, we have 3 teams that are all very rounded. Well Brazil is going through no question aiming no less than the WC. Take a look at their lineup Ronaldo, Ronaldhino, Adriano, Junhino, Robhino, Kaka. The last four have all come out of the factory after 2002. Seriously it's incredible how the Brazilian factory produces so much talent in less than four years. Japan is very speedy but I don't think will make it. Croatia is very strong finishing ahead of Sweden in their qualifying group. Let's hope they hit us hard, like in '98 with the Davor Suker era Flip Mo. As for Australia, look out for them as their coach Guss Hiddink brought the Dutch to the semis in '98, '00, and brought South Korea to the semis in '02. So expect a something big from the Socceroos as a major upset will not be unexpected. BTW it's their second appearance since 1978 in the WC for anyone wondering. With them eliminating my personal fav. S.A. team Uruguay during qualifiers, there's a reason for Australia for being in the WC.

Predictions: Brazil 1st, sorry FlipMo but I have a feeling Australia is going to snatch that 2nd place from Croatia.

Dude...do you have ANY idea how much Croatia is a strong side??? They beat Sweden 2 times in the last qualifications....they have a GREAT team...

Australia is good, but they are not as good as Croatia, you can believe me...

Changing the subject:

How many broken legs and red cards do you think we'll see in the game between Angola and Portugal???

Last time around, Anogla got 3 straight red cards when they played Portugal :)

I know for sure we will see one's heart broken and couple of tickets for disturbance of peace,vandalism,or/and disorderly conduct the night after group F is done in the streets of montreal.

Paraguay's also strong even though Chilavert is gone for a long time

Freddy Adu, looking forward to see him play his first WC.

Brazil are a stronger team than the last World Cup, can't wait to see them do some damage.

Carmi, you see the problem with Italy is simple, they simply rely too much on their past legends, they should try to get an overhaul and bring in a lot of youngsters that would drastically improved the team.

How hizzle? You're right Croatia is 1000X better than Australia, I agree with you. Hell, imo Davor Suker is the greatest Croatian footballer of all time and is in the same league as greats such as Bergkamp, Beckham, Kluivert, Hagi among others. I've watched Croatia play but haven't seen them play for a while, but the only thing I'm saying is that there are going to be a lot of surprises this time around. I would like to see Croatia pass but damn there's too many surprises in a WC to have all the teams we want to pass through.

On the matter of Angola and Portugal, it's true lol. But we never know maybe they have a more disciplined team this time and won't concentrate on breaking Portuguese legs but rather scoring goals. The same with Portugal, we never know if they pass through or not even with a team that scored the most goals during the campaign qualifier.

Thug $tyle, I know I'm exagerating too much as I'm hyped for the WC but what I can almost guarantee you is that at least 2 African teams can make it through with a bit of luck and with a lot of discipline and a collective spirit (I.C. and Ghana) as they are the 2 strongest out of all 5 this year. But also expect something big when France clashes with Togo.

BTW what do you guys think about Ukraine and their stats being flawless, any comments.

Also I almost forgot I expect England vs. Brazil in the finals. What are your thoughts?

Peace

what he isn't american???
Fucking pig... I hate players who don't play for their countries... i.e. Emile M'Penza, Zinedine Zidane, Podolski, Nicolas Anelka, Patrick Viera, Ibrahimovic..

They are all great players, but they lose a lot of respect by chosing to play for some country that isn't even theirs...

It's the balkan way. Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia have already been fined 50 000 Euros for hooliganism. We're bringing it back to the 90s version of Brittish hooligans. lol

Hey, Oggy. I know what you mean, but players that don't play for their country. Especially that fucking Ibrahimovic. He should be playing for Bosnia, but he fucking goes to Sweden. Bas je cigan.

Yeah, i read both the US and Ghana coaches are going to call him up between now and then so it's up to him, he has always said he'd play for the US though.

I think it's irrelevant anyhow, he's a brilliant prospect but not good enough to make an impact at this level just yet.

Podolski was born is poland but he grew up in germany. he feels that germany is his "home" so no need to lose respect for him.

what? im pretty sure that if you played once for a national-team (junior teams not included) you cant "switch" and play for another country?!
