I started watching the WWF in 1987 when Hogan was champion. I didn't discover WCW until 1994 when Hogan won the world title from Ric Flair at Bash at The Beach.
What I liked about WCW is that they focus more on wrestling and less soap opera.
WCW suffered alot of problems that sadly ended in March 2001.
1. Kevin Nash becoming the head booker in 1998.
2. David Arquette becoming WCW World Champion.
3. Celebrities becoming Main Eventers. Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone, and Jay Leno.
4. Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn leaving WCW because of backstage politics.
5. Bringing Vince Russo to WCW was a huge mistake.
6. Bring The Ultimate Warrior to WCW was another mistake. Warrior was one of my favorite wrestlers back in 1989 but he aged and everything about him changed for the worst.
7. Failure to establish new talent.
8. Overkill of the nWo idea. After Austin won the WWE world title in 1998, Raw finally defeated Nitro in the ratings. Bischoff should have realized the WCW/NWO war got old with the fans but instead we have nWo Black and white and nWo Wolfpac.
