Bullshit.
WWF turned around the Monday Night Wars because of the product. WWF Attitude gave them the upper hand, not money. WWF created new stars like The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin while WCW relied on over-the-hill ex-WWFers. WCW had people like Benoit and Guerrero, but never gave them the opportunity to become the stars they are today.
Struggling financially? How do you think WCW lured the likes of Nash, Hall, Savage and Luger from WWF? They were filthy rich. WCW were the ones with the financial backing of "Billionaire Ted" Turner. WCW were the ones paying washed up stars like Hogan, Savage, Nash, Hall too much money. WCW were the ones pointlessly promoting Dennis Rodman and Jay Leno. WCW were the ones who gave Vince Russo a lucrative contract to lure him from WWF to WCW, where he proceeded to fuck it all up.
Russo ran WCW into the ground. WWE was promoting new stars like Edge and Christian, the Hardy Boyz, Benoit (who jumped ship because WCW was fucked up), Jericho and Angle while WCW was pushing David Arquette, Tank Abbot and KISS, and kitting out wrestlers with shitty gimmicks like the Misfits in Action and "That 70s Guy" Mike Awesome.
During the latter part of The Wars, WWF was on fire. I can't believe you're trying to blame it on money, that's ridiculous.
