Liverpool through to next round.im happy

Ronaldinho was shit again last nite wasnt he?He did well for Gudjohnsons goal but i would have him at fault for Lampards goal.Look at the build up to it.For the second goal Ronaldinho was nowhere to be seen as Essien broke down the right.

I wouldn't say he was shit at all. You might fault him for the Essien goal, but nobody expects Ronaldinho to be playing at left back. I do think he's ineffective on the left as opposed to in the middle

Yea,he is too far from goal playing out wide on the left.Barcelona made this mistake a few years back with Rivaldo. They started playing him wide on the left.

Its not a question of him playing at left back, its a matter of making a proper effort to track back and block the cross.

Yeah alot of attacking players don't like doing that. Drogba moaned about that last season and blamed that to his lack of goals.

Speaking of wingers going back they were just talking about that on Sky Sports with Souness, Laudrup,M and Gullit.

Gullit said that in Holland and Spain Ronaldinho isn't expected to run back..then Souness pointed out that Ronaldinho if playing in england would be expected to run back.

But then again Ronaldinho isnt really a winger. He is out of position. He needs to be in front of the goal, behind the strikers. You are right though he is prob. not expected to track back.It looks bad though. He seems to be down on confidence as well.He hardly takes on and goes past players anymore.Barcelona have no player like Gilberto Silva,Essien,or Makalele who could cover for the likes of Ronaldinho or Messi. They played Thiago Motta in this role against Chelsea but he is shit.Edmilson is no good either, although he is really a centre half.I cant understand why they sold Van Bommel.

Kaka was class last night wasnt he.His last goal was gorgeous.I like him better than Ronaldinho. He is a fantastic player. He was good in the World Cup and has been good for Milan since he joined.

Kaka was decent in the world cup, he petered out along with the rest of Brazil however and also went through lack of form for AC Milan last season. But looks like he is back to his best and really is the best Brazilian right now but if him and Ronaldinho were both on form, I'd pick Ronaldinho over him just..

Barcelona shouldve bought Diarra, hes probably a better overall player than Makelele and plays the defensive midfield role well at Madrid (however playing Emerson along side him restricts Madrids attacking flow)

Ronaldinho plays as a winger for Barcelona even though he is better just behind the striker, Barca just terribly miss Eto'o and for some reason don't have much faith in Saviola.

I wonder when the Mexican youngster Dos Santos will make his debut for Barcelona. He looks fantastic already from the little ive seen of him.

He never gets put on.I wanted him to come on against Chelsea.Maybe Rijkaard feels he was too small for the strong chelsea defence.

I think hes about 17/18 though he resembles Ronaldinho they compare him to Messi also.

I don't know but even in La Liga, Saviola hardly plays. Even though the fans want him to play and even scoring coming off the bench 2 weeks ago wasn't enough.

I guess he doesnt like him.He did loan him off to Sevilla last season.Did Rijkaard loan him to Monaco the year b4 as well.I dont think he liked Van Bommel much either.

Anyone see Partizan Belgrade and Livorno.Marco Amelia(Livorno keeper) scored the equalising goal with a header in the 88th minute. The match finished 1-1.

We do miss Eto'o , and Van Bommel shouldn't have been sold , but everybody , including the fans only realised this when it was too late.. when he was still at Barça , everything he did seemed to be bad , but I sure regret selling him now!

Dos Santos is 17 years old , and will only play at the end of the season if we've already won the title ( IF we do that is.. ) , like some other players did last season.. He's great tho' , but he's changed his hair so he doesn't look like Ronaldinho anymore :p

he played an awful game this weekend against Deportivo La Coruna.. I've seen all games this season, and if you mean the game against Atlethic Bilbao , wich I think you do , that was against 10 men , and Barça was playing an awful , awful game..

Saviola wasn't appreciated much because he wanted too much money , and the president had started a wage reduction for all the players a couple years ago when we had some financial troubles.. It was a much better system , and most players went along with it just fine , except Saviola! So he was loaned out , now he only wants to stay because it means he can get some extra cash at the end of the season AND leave for free..

I was glad he stayed tho' ( still remembering the Kluivert , Rivaldo , Figo , Luis Enrique & Saviola glory years :p ) and I've always liked the kid. And when Eto'o fell out , I was sooo happy he stayed after all , but so far , he really hasn't lived up to the potential he has imo..

Then again , so far only Messi has been playing consistently brilliant this season , even Puyol who's our heart hasn't been playing all that wel.. Edmilson was a great DM last season , but now.. Marquez , was great CB , now.. Ronaldinho , don't even have to mention him :p and this was already starting before Eto'o got injured :(

Comfortably, in the end. Another example of how much better we are this year than last. Last year, 1-0 down against Benfica I'd be really worried. This year, we go and score 3.

It also reaffirms my love of Nemanja Vidic

Yea Man Utd stumble on into the knockout stages.Only for Benfica's shit keeper they might not have made. And Celtic's fucking up against Copenhagen helped them as well.
