The threat in the UK from Al Qaeda is minuscule compared to the IRA in the 80's. The lives and damage caused by that "war" far outweighs this one, so far. Yet, many "irish" Americans didn't have a problem funding that....

Yes, I am fishing. But the point still stands.

This "Irish" you refer to were the descendents of the many that left here on those coffin ships (the ones that survived obviously) and ended up there as a result of being been thrown out of their homes by wealthy British landlords and left to starve while the Queen of England and the British monarchy sat back and did nothing for them. Their other option was to go to workhouses and die.

you know what they say, You reap what you sow.

not that i condone terrorism or anything the IRA ever did to innocent English people (terrible and disgraceful acts) but since we are fishing... ;)

isnt it true that alot of those arrested out in Afghanistan for attending Al Qaeda training camps are in fact British?

Yes. Thanks to the spineless British Government. Who I don't support. But I will always defend my country. Because it's mine.

In regards to those "irish" you speak of. How does financing terror help get back at the monarchy from 200 years ago? All I can see is people having their families ripped apart over crimes from the past. Which they wouldn't have supported in the first place. They didn't get rich from it. It's the massive gap between the common people and the aristocracy. We were persecuted just the same as the Irish.

That's the problem with Terrorism. Always goes for the civilians. You have a problem with the American or British governments? Kill them. I don't support the Iraq war. I don't support bombing civilians or scorched earth policies. So why target me, and people like me?

In regards to this thread. I see the Americans celebrating, and I can't knock the patriotism. But is this really a celebration...?

Also, why at times like this is there always a token picture of a few Sikhs in turbans showing solidarity...? Or do Americans just think any brown fella in a dress will do?

When I went to Ground Zero in 2005 it was a sobering experience. Probably the largest single event in modern history.

I would say so. Americans took his continued existence personally. Of course it's just one 54-year-old guy, but it's symbolic. It's a big win.

I don't think they know what a Sikh is. Probably think, they're dressed like Osama, probably Muslims, quick film them!

well their reasons wouldnt have been to get back at the monarchy from 200 years ago. it would probably have been because of the fact that Britain still rules part of this island and they felt very strongly about that.

i agree with you 100% though about that. and also when we talk about the IRA dont forget the fact that they killed more of their own than anyone else. They are even doing it today.thats the way terrorists work though and it never really achieves anything.

I will answer your quote, with a quote from the Church of Satan's website........

"There is nothing wrong with fantasy, so long as an individual knows he is using this controlled self-delusion as a tool for dealing with existence"

Even though they arn't my words, they sum up how I feel, just about perfectly.

Oh yeah, before you say anything, if you are too programmed into even looking into what "Satanism" is about, don't gimme your BS. Just shows ignorance. I never even considered looking into anything of the type, until I figured a couple of days ago....it's the Church and Christianity (the basis of our in-justice system) that talks all this crazy stuff about devils and hell and whatever, so I figured it must be worth looking into, lol.

Church of Satan website, for real check it. Theres a lot I don't agree with, but in having a quick look over it I already prefer it to the fundamental Christian ideals.

...Sorry to derail....back on track now....oh yeah, Osama's dead, so that means THE WAR IS OVER, right ? Huh, what do you mean NO ?
