I voted BQ, just because their candidate in my place was the only one who could have beaten the Conservatives... I wanted to vote NDP, but sometimes, you gotta risk stuff...

And Harper has a majority in a minority... The BQ lost in 10 places in Quebec (most of it in Quebec City, where i'm from) , the Libs have to build back everything they lost, and the NDP are happy with what they have now...

Harper will stay in charge for 2-3 years...

its called Use of Excessive Force

When an intruder is in your home or a trespasser on your property, you are only protected under Canadian Law in using as much force as necessary to either detain or remove that intruder from your home. Any force you use that is not necessary is considered excessive and in turn you may be prosecuted for assault, or in the case of executing the intruder, murder.
accidental shootings that get kids killed is a result from "if you step on my property i can kill you!" and stupidity.

A drug lord would get a lot more than 2 years, especially with harsher penalties that will soon be put in, 2 years is just a minimum. Its a lot better than letting people just go out and sell shit with very little penalty, what would be your solution?
you take that 5 BILLION that hes gonna put in the army or some the 27 BILLION that is unaccounted for and you start proper FREE job training centers and community centers in the areas that are plagued biggest by this violence

the only way to curb violence, drug dealing etc is to stop the problem which starts it..... poverty

NDP i think had more seats than expected. BQ lost some but won in place like Papineau in Montreal (my place) where it used to be Pettigrew but he got owned by Vivian Barbot. they also took the place of that other minister whose a girl. dont remember who tho. LIberals lost lots of seats but i'm sure they'll be stronger on the next elections. Conservatives wont stay long i'm sure

I expect Harper to be in power for atleast 2 years. We've had two elections in the span of a year and a half, there is no money for another election anytime soon. On top of that the liberals are not going to be in any rush for another election since they have to rebuild the party. Dryden or Ignatieff will probably be the next liberal leader.

It will be interesting though to see how government works under the current seat structure.
