There is an app in the market called "screenshot" or "snapshot." It should be free but only for root users. You can set a timer and all too.

I haven't read much on the Project Emerald. What happened to it? I do see this new HTC slider Dual radio phone coming to VZW. But they still don't know much about it, like processor and all.

Alright well let me know if you find one.

You know when you get a text you have the option of it scrolling across the notification bar or whatever, what's it called in Cyan settings to change the color of that text

the setting is in 'spare parts', the at the bottom of that menu is 'notifications' and you can change the colours of various ones.

I see. Did we just find this out today or so or have we known for some time? It appears to not have been on my news feed.

Known for a few weeks now.

Not 100% confirmed but seems likely.

Oh I forgot to mention, there's whisperings that that red HTC slider device above will have a 1.2GhZ processor and ship with Android 3.0 (Gingerbread).

There's also rumors of it being the next flagship, Google-branded device.

Which makes sense as they lifespan of the developer devices is 12-15 months, by the time this comes out, the Nexus will have been around for a year or so.

I definitely want this. Especially if there's color variants. A purple version would rock my world.

im not too keen on that, but if it releases in the uk, it could well be my next phone.

i really want a samsung because of the super amoled screens and battery life. galaxy s should be really cheap by december/january... i just hope that they dont discontinue them by that time. and i concede, i may have to get a phone without a keyboard... hopefully swype suits me well.

Since new Samsung's Arm-based 28nm(!) mobile processors that run at 2ghz (stock. up to 2,8ghz after OC) have been revealed yesterday it seems to confirm a gossip about Galaxy S' successor that is supposed to arrive early next year and pack a 2ghz processor, HD screen resolution of 4,3 inch and 1gig of ram.

that looks great. im thinking to not get the galaxy s when my G1 contract expires... because i'll be leaving my job soon to concentrate on uni and need to save as much money as i can. i could perhaps downgrade, keep a rolling 30 day contract, and then maybe get the Galaxy S2 (so i hope to hear more rumours and more official announcements about this). who knows, there may even be a slide out qwerty version that might even hit the uk. but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

i want to sell my G1 after im done with it, but may want to also use it as a phone to test apps on when i will eventually be given access to app inventor. i just hope they are safe enough to test on the phones... if they are then i'll probably sell the G1.
