ARon, I can dig it. But it's just that right now, I don't have time to back up all my apps, wipe the EXT, reformat the card, flash the ROM, restore the apps, move them to the SD card with the FroYo method.....etc

When I get back to the UK I'll do all of that. Right now, if I can just flash 6.0.1 over my 5.0.8 and have everything intact, then I'm down to do that.

Don't know who on here has a Nexus, Droid, MyTouch Slide, Magic, Desire, Hero, Evo or Incredible, but there's supposed to be CyanogenMod 6 for all those devices either now or very soon.

No, Hero meaning GSM HTC Hero, and CDMA HTC Hero on Sprint. But if there's root for Eris now I'm sure someone will make a port of CM6, it would probably be pretty easy since the internals are more or less identical to the Hero.

Yep, I'm with Rogers. I know they're going to be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S soon, but still... I've always been bleh about Samsung models (despite being a great phone). Hoping a high end HTC comes out... if not the Galaxy S will suffice.

Instead, Motorola will be “securing” the software on handsets like the DROID X and DROID 2, making loading custom ROMs significantly more difficult.
