Bobbo: While the idiots at City are capable of such a thing, I think his recent stint at Real gave Rafael enough thinking matter. He's not stupid, I hope and think that when the offers come along, he'll choose for a club that will actually play him consistently.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Rafael van der Vaart is one of the absolute best players in the world, when played in the proper position. If you make him "the distributor" in a side with good offensive qualities, he is truly immense. For me, he is the current #1 in the world when it comes to football intelligence. His passing technique is supreme. He needs a club that gives him a free role in front of the midfield and behind the basic offensive line. He will dazzle you all.

yea true. it is a sign of that but i thought Nani looked to be clutching his chest as well. thought he was having a heart attack or something and also take into consideration the problem he seems to have in the Bayern Munich game.

VDV offers nothing when the opposition has the ball though and we all know that Rafa loves hard working players who help out the defence. If Rafa had his way he would play 10 defenders lol. Gerrard's position is ideal for VDV though. would suit him down to the ground. But if he is being bought to play out on the left wing then fuck that. he is wasted out there and id much prefer a natural out and out winger.
