ok, so imagine if someone told this to you immediately after the Super Bowl: "as if it wasn't crazy enough to see what you just saw (the Pats upset and embarrassed by Eli and the Giants), on opening day of the 08 season you'll see the Bears beat the Colts, Brett Favre in a New York Jets uniform and Tom Brady go down with a more-than-likely season ending injury." you'd think the guy was fucking crazy, i mean Charles Manson eating fruit loops on your front porch crazy, right? i mean what the hell happened? is this the twilight zone? well with the Brady injury, that blows the league wide open, this is any team's season now. i'm almost afraid to imagine what the rest of the season has in store.

so in this spirit, anyone have any insane predictions they want to make? who knows, they just may end up coming true :amazed:

my first prediction: Mat Ryan will lead my Falcons to the playoffs. what a great debut yesterday, how many QBs can say that their first ever pass in the NFL was a touchdown? beautiful. Michael who? fuck that guy, Ryan's the man now.

That's what you get Tom Brady for leaving your pregnant girlfriend...bastard.

ok, here's crazy (or not so crazy) prediction #2: the Packers will be alright without Brett Favre. Rodgers played a pretty good game tonight against the Vikings, and the team looks fairly solid. whether they make the playoffs is anyone's guess, but i predict at least a winning record for them this season.

lol, and defense was supposed to be their strong point this year. i guess not. but a memo to Al Davis: hey dummy, why don't you spend some money and get an O-Line? your boy Jamarcus can't do shit if no one is blocking for him. i think Al's gone soft in the head.

hmmm, i wonder if Bill Belichick is regretting all those games last year when the Pats were up by 30 and he kept Brady in when they could have given more playing time to Cassel and Guiteirrez (sp?)? you are bound to learn a lot playing behind a guy like Brady for 3 years, but nothing can account for lack of actual game experience. he looked good on Sunday, i guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to what's gonna happen. who knows, maybe Matt Cassel will be the next Tom Brady?

I now have digital tv, so I have NASN. I'm definitely a layman but i like AF so i'm planning to catch a lot of this season. I'll make some predictions as well. :)

Patriots won't be dead in the water without Brady. They won't be on the level they had WITH Brady, of course, but they're not going to finish 6-10 or something.

Same deal with Packers. I think the team already anticipated what to do without Favre (hence their rejection for his comeback), so they'll be ok. Although I do think it will take them this season to maybe get a little used to their new boy.

Favre will put the Jets in the play-offs by the skin of their teeth, and then they'll get absolutely trounced.

The Cowboys looked awesome in their opening game, but it's just 1 game so far vs. not such a brilliant opponent. Still definite contenders, though.

Chargers and Eagles should be good teams, so I hear. I don't know, I'll assume those sportscasters know what they're talking about, haha.

Raiders got an embaressing ass-whooping. Rams and Lions look pathetic.

I'm browsing the net for an AF jersey to rock here in the streets of Old Europe, but I'm not sure what to get. Pats/Brady is fanboyish, and poorly timed over the injury. Packers/Favre is the definitely the best jersey (I like green) and a legendary player, but again poor timing with his move to NY. I like Romo as a player but the Cowboys have boring jerseys. I don't want to pick a poor team's kit or a player that's too obscure. And I definitely want some nice colours in it. Not too bland.

Anyway, give me some advice. :) I'll have to make my decision by sunday, lal.

Al Davis is in his 80's he dont belong running that team. hand it over to one of his nephew's or something. saw him on monday night the Man looks like he's dying, half of his face looked shriviled up.

im happy my Broncos beat them though. we get the Chargers this weekend, if Cutler plays good we'll beat them like the Panthers did.

taking a real WILD prediction here.. the Jets beat the the Pats this weekend. Cassel chokes at his first game as a starter.

Are the Miami Dolphins that Bad???

old man Kurt Warner throws for 361 yds against them.

how about them Broncos had a 14 pt lead, blew it Chargers take the lead. Broncos come back at the end go for 2 and win the game. 39-38

Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal looked superb, Cutler looks inpressive once again. i know its only week 2.
