Sooooo pissed

Sort out you're alarm :P

My whole first week at uni was just getting to know people in the class...so no big deal.

Trust us. I've started my 3rd year in college and the day of class has alwayz been about the professor tellin u about the class, introductions and passing out the syllabus. They'll usually keep the syllabus for 1-2 weeks. Its no big deal that u missed the first day. Just don't make it a habit.

First day is pretty much all about the syllabus. You sound like a geeky high-schooler, worried and shit about your attendance. Who gives a fuck? Respected institutions don't take roll, anyway.

Not all first classes go over the course outline only, and if they do. You still have readings for next class.

I already started in 2 of my classes and the 3rd we just went over the course outline, but he gave 40 pages to read for tomorrow. lol. So yeah.

Also, may I add. Universities teacher don't care about your problems. You're lucky if you find one that will sympathize with your issue, but else from that. You'll probably get a 'how is that my problem?' attitude.

Carm, I'm not sure if you're at Concordia, UQAM or McGill, but each one has a site where the teacher posts the syllabus online, and the lectures. You should be able to find whatever you missed out overthere.

^Concordiaaaaaaa.

Well in the classes I did attend, the teachers actually did give a lecture and tons of readings so hopefully I didn't miss much.

I might seem like a nerdy high schooler (although I graduated from high school like 4 years ago, we have CEGEP here), I want to attend all classes because I know how I am and if I start missing classes here and there, I'll end up skipping them all.

Welcome to Concordia Carmi. Maybe I'll spot you at the Concordia Bar (Reggies) some day.

Beer is cheap. Thirsty Thursdays is where it's at. :thumb:

Also, if you don't want to pay 70-80$ for your books, there's a spot on McKay that photocopie it for you and you only pay 30$ lol.

haha, true. Anyway. Readin this thread I just realized that I missed way more classes on purpose than by accident. :D

I have missed classes, not to the point where I dropped out of college or high school. I got the grades I needed to graduate. The lessons I missed only led me to play catch up. Homework was annoying when all I wanted to do was to party. The concept of working hard and playing hard has its drawbacks, choosing between the two. It is better for me now that I have studied and worked hard at my career, and have a proper security in it. I can start to relax a little and play around more with it. I am still up tight anyways, mixing business with pleasure is hard work. I got two jobs to do, fucking shit!

Yeah I heard about Reggies although I don't know where it is exactly. My friend wants to bring me shisha around, apparently there is a lot of shisha places.

But I mainly at the Loyola Campus though cause I'm in Psychology.

Ohhh you're at Loyola campus. My old one that I now miss. lol.

We'll if you're ever at SGW. The Reggies bar is inside the main building. 2nd floor, all the way left of the JAVA-U. You can't miss it.

If you want Shisha and a relaxed spot. On Bishop there's Kafeine. It's like the only Shisha place that serves alcohol. It's a cool place. Sofas and shit.

The best place for hookah is on my buddies upstairs' balcony with a luxury outdoor couch they bought from Goodwill. Just sit there, on the third floor, overlooking the parking lot, watching everyone go by. It's incredible.

Once you start going to SGW, and how busy it gets. You want to kill yourself.

At least there's the lounge at Loyola which is alright if your with friends and shit.

luzury couch from goodwill. still have that nice aroma of piss?

people watching from balconies is always fun... get a laser pointer and point it around people at night, its funny how many ppl will think you're the DC sniper.

No, it's a "luxury" couch. It's leather and soft as shit. No weird smell.

And I used to do that in my old apartment last year, where my bedroom overlooked the parking lot, but it wasn't fun because my lesbian laser pen would lose intensity real fast. I didn't think about doing it this year though. I need a laser pen that will last a long time so that I don't have to go out and buy the bulbs every week.

yeah well I haven't explored the Loyola campus really yet. I know where my classes are and that's pretty much it.
