I just checked my pocket change and found this:

A picture I have never seen before on a £1 coin I decided to check it out, on the internet. I found this: Gold Coin News: 2006 One Pound Gold Proof

Not sure what it means, the article is quite vague. The one I have is rather shiny and am wondering how much of it is Gold? Apparently only 1,500 of one pound gold proof coins have been issued.

I feel like holding on to this here.

Hold on to it, its not like you need to spend the one pound. And if there were only 1500 made, I am sure it will be valuable in the long run.

There are 1500 gold ones and 50 million of the normal ones....

It's only worth £1

yeshua verify if yours is made of gold or only part of the 50 million with the same design.

but I'd keep it just for the sake of it. you never know
