this movie was dissapointing. not worth seeing in a theatre.

i shook my head when i seen the entire movie was shot from a camcorder. if i want to watch that type of movie i'll pop in the blair witch project.

i hope there isnt a sequel

Just watched the movie and was disappointed as well. The POV of the camera was interesting like everyone else has stated, but it leaves so much to the imagination. For example the monster, the action, the boring 20 minutes in the beginning. It was been reported that they will make a sequel, but I doubt it will change the POV because of how sucesful this movie was.

well honestly i wasn't all that impressed with this movie, it's good but still could have been done better. the idea of it all being from the POV of a camcorder is cool at first, but halfway thru the movie the novelty wore off and it was just annoying. i was a little underwhelmed by the monster as well, but since you only get a good glimpse of it near the end i suppose it doesn't matter all that much. i'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.
Of course it can be better. Everything can be better. The camcorder view never got annoying. And why were you underwhelmed by the monster? It was nice to see something original. The movie wasn't the best, but I liked it when I saw it.

you have your opinion, i have mine. not everything could be better, i've seen plenty of great movies that are perfect just as they are. i was very annoyed by the camcorder POV. i felt like i was watching a bad cam copy of a movie instead of a movie in a theater and i was praying for at least one steadicam shot, just one. if you liked it that's good, but hey, it's only opinion. i didn't care for it too much, that's all. and original? ok if you want to call a Godzilla clone original lol. the only way this movie was any different than any other monster movie is the cam POV.

Of course it's worth seeing in a theatre. Did you know beforehand that the movie was show from a camcorder? If so, you shouldn't have seen it. Too many people go into movies expecting everything to be the next best thing. They are hardly ever satisfied with what they see. It's never good enough. I hate that. Not that i'm saying you (or anyone else here) is like that, i'm just saying.

actually i bought a bootleg :D

and from the trailer i seen a long time ago the movie didnt look like it was shot from a camcorder. it looked like a normal movie. i thought it was gonna be another godzilla type movie thats all.

What's retarded is our local movie theatre wouldn't play it because they couldn't work out a deal with whatever theatre company released so we were forced to travel 30 minutes to the next nearest cinema (granted it was worth it, smoked a joint on the way) Anyhoo yeah the movie was extremely good

Some people here are too hard and expect way too much.

Enjoy the movie and shut up. You don't need to write an essay out of it.

i don't expect anything when i go to a movie except a good movie. when i get a mediocre one i end up disappointed. that's what i felt coming out of this movie, that it was mediocre, not some legendary groundbreaking movie like it was built up to be. i knew it wouldn't be as good as they made it out to be tho becuase movies that get hyped up this much never equal the expectations. i expected better tho, hence my critique of the movie.

you might think i'm looking too deeply into it, but to me movies are more than just a way to kill a few hours, they are works of art. i look at them the same way i look at any other piece of art. some are great, spectacular works, some are horrible abominations. this movie is somewhere in between.

A little late on the bus, but I finally watched it, last night.

I thought the movie was awesome. Very well made, the monster was scary, the main chick was hot, the camera dude had comic value. I missed the bit with the comet falling, may have to look for it.
