Obama is regarded as a black man so he will go down in history as the first black president.

Do you think any racist sees him on the street and thinks "I hate that half n***er" or "I hate half of him"? No. He is a black man, he looks like a black person (unlike someone like Nicole Richie for example) and thus carries with him all the baggage that involves, especially in politics, and will continue to do so as President.

People only take in account what they see. They see a black man. If he ever gets elected and if someday he becomes president of the USA, he will be the first black president regardless of his origins.

i totally agree RP FTW! I hate it when people only vote for some1 because they feel they are being different by voting for that person because they are "black" or a "woman" wtf is all that bs? you are voting for your country, and at the moment potentially for your freedom... Obama is a bad choice imo opinion, he has decided not to vote in most of the important bills that have went to the senate and he voted in favor of the patriot act! that tells you something, and well hitlery we know what that b!7(# is capable of... If you guys wanna discuss color, race, origin, beliefs.... go ahead but i think it's stupid, there is no color, race origin, etc... when it comes to defending what you love most, i don't believe in the bible but i think there is a good saying in it that goes a lil something like this... "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" so vote for their beliefs, not for how they look... be SMART! use your brain, use your brain... like 2pac said! Oh and another thing, Obama although it kinda feels that he wants to make change or w/e, he's not experienced enough to take on the job.... Vote for Dr. No 2008!

Sarcasm really only works when you're on the smarter end of the argument. The thread starter clearly stated that his mother is white so how about replying to that?

I so hate when people come with the weak ass arguement that he isn't experienced enough to take the job. They say that then you ask them if they think the system we have now is working or if htey like the people in the system, and of course there answer is no. They you say how will experience in a bad system with people you don't like help, or something along those lines. People need to get a new excuse to not like Obama.

The fact his mother is white doesn't change the fact his father is African. That in my opinion allows the title "first black President". Because of the history of African Americans it may be harder to prove who doesn't have 'white blood' somewhere in their family's history. It doesn't change anything though, what other American President has had such a link to being African?
