Papoose gets hit in the back of the head. Papoose runs after whoever hit him, we see that. Then Papoose stands back as the people that hit him stomp on his friend / bodyguard.

I mean yeah, for his own skin he did the right thing. But he just hung back behind the car and waited for them to finish with the other guy and then he stepped out.

At the very least its a 50/50 situation but to say he is in the right and did the right thing is a bit of a stretch on this one. At the very least its an "I dont really know" situation.
