I dont know how anyone can like Lupe

The dude has absolutely no flow in this song... Too bad because his lyrics are awesome as is the beat. I can listen to it.

I love Lupe though...
 
Was never a fan. There seems to be a lot of highly rated chi-town artists that i dont really like.

One song i likes Food and Liqueur was The Instrumental.

Okay I just listened to it like 10 times in a row, and fuck what I said, this song is awesome.
 
I didn't check which song but I'm guessing it's Dumb it Down. THe beat is dumbed down, the video is dumbed down, everything but the lyrics, concept is perfect, video fits is perfectly, shit is tight.

they're all disgraces to the city... the real city goes to the lesser known artists like vakill, MC Juice and all those other guys that the Molemen produce for..


i dont want to give lupe a chance... i heard food and liquor, didnt like it and im done with him...
 
I had the opportunity to see him live on my campus. I don't know, I couldn't get into his music even after I saw him live. I listened to Food and Liquor a couple of times but it didn't do anything for me. It's not that it's too sophisticated (Jigga's excuse for kingdom come's failure) , it's just that his flow doesn't excite me and his songs don't fit any of my moods. Also, when you look at the songs he makes, you'd think he's like a younger Common Sense, all cool and collected. But, he just acts like all these other young black rappers, overly arrogant and what not.

Food & Liquor was a let down to me. His mixtapes before the album were better. That's why after hearing what he has for this album I am excited. He's more raw and saying something. Not skating between the lines like Talib was doin when he released some mediocore material, which Food & Liquor is. I'm hopin he doesn't do the same with this album, but so far it doesn't quite sound like it.
