If you were making an album..

I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but i'll try it anyway. If you were a rapper and you were making an album, who would you have on it? Who would the songs be produced by? How many tracks? I don't want you to think about it all day and then write something, it should just be something relatively quick off the top of your head.

Here's what I came up with quick..

Album Name: ?

1. Intro (Produced By Just Blaze)
2. Classic ft. Little Brother (Produced By Khrysis)
3. From Then Til' Now (Produced By 9th Wonder)
4. Identity Crisis ft. Supastition (Produced By M-Phazes)
5. First Come, First Served (Produced By Just Blaze)
6. Recognition (Produced By Alchemist)
7. The Sting (Produced By Rza)
8. Bragging Rights ft. Apathy (Produced By Celph Titled)
9. Peaceful (Produced By Nicolay)
10. Incredible ft. Az (Produced By DJ Premier)
11. Uncommon Sense (Produced By Stoupe)
12. Reality ft. Joe Budden (Produced By Kanye West)
13. Technology (Produced By Hi-Tek)
14. Tell Me I'm Wrong (Produced By Pete Rock)
15. Infamous ft. Royce Da 5'9" (Produced By DJ Premier)
16. Outro (Produced By Just Blaze)

Not sure if you noticed how your list is straight east coast orientated ;)

I think I'd stick to RZA, Premier, 9th wonder and Bronze Nazareth as producers.
Maybe one or two laid back smooth beats by Dre and few less known producers.

I'd like to feature many alive artists I respect including various collabos with Wu-Tang clan, Boot Camp Clik, Nas, Yukmouth, O.C., Gangstarr, Talib Kweli, Kenn Starr, Rass Kass, Fatal, Kurupt.. maybe Snoop. Nate Dogg, Val Young and Lauryn Hill on hooks :D maybe one or two unreleased 2pac verses ;)
I'd also like 50 cent on one track so I could officially diss him on the same track track he spit on.

Of course it would be a 2 disk album.
I think most songs would be deep with few laid back, one or two party tracks and one anthem-like track with most of above artists on one track. It would be a real east-west collabo. I guess it would sound boring at times but who cares :D
I'm too tired to think of any more artists.

Yeah well, it's nothing against anybody else. I like artists from everywhere. I just happen to think the east coast has more good rappers than anyone else.. by far. But i'm not gonna turn this into that kind of thread. I wouldn't do songs with Dr. Dre, Kurupt, Snoop, Nate Dogg or anyone like that.. rofl. It ain't me. I don't need my album to sound like a Pac album. I wouldn't want him or anyone that's worked with him to be on it.

I quickly (in my mind) came up with ideas for songs, so that's why I named mine. Plus I put rappers I would work with on the appropriate songs.

For starters, I'd like to have a album of anywhere between 14-17 tracks. I'd like to produce about ten of the tracks. The other tracks, I'd like to have:

2 beats ffrom Just Blaze, 1 from Alchemist, a couple from some around-the-way producers I know, and I guess whatever I hear that catches my attentionfor the left-overs, no matter who it's from.

I'd be kinda light on guest appearances. Seeing that it's my first album, I want the people to get intune with me, not someone else. I would do probably a track with Fabolous, Rick Ross and prolly two tracks with a some of my people on there.

I dunno.. this is corny, but I'll explain the names of the songs while i'm at it...

Album name : You name it

1. Intro ft. Flipmo

I'll just probably tape 2 mins from some of our conversations.

2. Going Back Home (Produced by Hi-Tek)

This song will be talking about how I love to go back to Bosnia, and what I'm mising about it.

3. Going back home Pt. 2 (Produced by Hi-Tek)This song will be talking about how I have to leave home to go to my home where my life is.

4. Where Am I ? (By Hi-Tek again) This song will be something where I'll just yell my frustration out of my lungs concerning how I have to deal with two lives.

5. Say my name feat. Redman (Produced by Eric Sermon)
Since my name is complicated for the people here where I live, I'll just make a funny song about how it's complicated and how it's pronounced. I'd like Redman to say some stupid shit about it, like he always does.

6. 0.08 feat. Xzibit (Produced by Dr.Dre)

A song about alcohol. the limit in Quebec is 0.08% of alcohol in your blood, I dunno about you guys.

7. Who am I? feat. Frenkie, Shot and Marcello (A Bosnian, Croatian and a Serbian rapper, yes they are good.) (Produced by Hi-Tek and Mayer(a bosnian producer, yes he makes good beats))
The song will talk about the problem of identity in the balkans, religion and nationalism. I'll make the two other rappers rap in English so we criticise the imposed difference of Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian languages)

8. Crazy feat Busta Rhymes and Redman (Produced by Eric Sermon)

I'd like Busta to go crazy on this track like he used to. "Woo-Ha" style. And Redman will be who he is.[

9. Lazy ft Method Man
Something along the lines of the Tech N9ne song. Its just because I'm lazy

10. Who are you? ft. Redman and Kanye West

something like Kanye's "Can't tell me nothing"... It'll just show my funny arrogant side

11. You and Me...and the other 5 (Produced by Warren G)

:D. Actually, I'm dissing what I did lol<

12. Outro
